I was on a telnet BBS with what used to be my standard username. I started playing MajorMUD and wanted a second character, so I had to create a new BBS username. My sister on the phone joking with her friend about green eggs and ham. Then born was Sam I Am.

Wow, been eons since I heard someone mention a MUD.

I tried registering for a year with various names and every time it did not work, kept getting some error code. Well, got a new laptop and decided to try to register one final time. I knew it would not work, so I just entered my two dogs names and what do ya know......it worked! Not my first choice but I can live with it :D

Maynard is a damn treasure. Great band, saw them at the Pearl inside the Palms in 2006 (2500 person venue, somewhat small and one of my top three concerts ever, Danny Carey had a "drum off" with some guy from the stands at one point who used only a snare stack, it was incredible) and at the Verizon Center in 07. 18 shows, that's a super fan!!! Good for ya, bud. Tool is life.

I have been using the name for so long, I cannot remember how I stumbled upon it. I use it or a version of it on all the message boards I have been on......

 Tool IS life... I have seen A Perfect Circle (one of Maynards other bands) at the Pearl, awesome venue! The drum off you speak of wouldve been with the opening band's dummer (who came from the stands). They did this a lot through a tour or 3 to highlight Danny during the show and give a nod to the opener's drummer. I remember the snare stack guy, but cant remember which band he was with that opened. Danny Carey is a machine....still.
They are not a band to miss live if they are in the area. If you arent a fan, youll leave one if you can appreciate good music. I have introduced them to countless friends, family, and coworkers that ended up seeing them multiple times over the last 20 years. 4 GREAT musicians...
