I know Rush was a huge influence for Tool as a whole, but I dont think so on Peart. I know they have jammed....The show I saw at the Pearl was the Mer De Noms album from start to finish, the following night was 13th step, but I had already extended my trip to be there the first night and didnt catch the 2nd show. I saw them a year later @ Red Rocks in Colorado...I was 8th row dead center for this show, it was recorded live and released on dvd.

Maybe they were influenced by Rush but no Danny was not taught by Neil.

I however chose it because it was my CB radio handle back in the day. Everyone always told me I took a Hardline approach to everything.
