The first half he was on fire. Ever since the Seattle game he has looked mediocre. I know you might say the Oline but he had OK time today and he still didnt do well. Any ideas?

Crayton and Flozell finally starting to take their toll?

Remember, we were all warned how Bledsoe did a 180 in Buffalo as soon as defenses figured him out. I don't know about you folks, but I don't trust Bledsoe at all. Too inconsistent in recent years. You never know if Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde is walking out there.

...break down. Drew is a statue so we need to keep him upright and preferebly with some room for him to step up and go through his progressions.

The defences are pressuring us right up the middle and having success at it. Detroit has been trying to take advantage of that and if not for the penalties, they would have been in this game.

I don't know. I don't think the pass blocking has been horrible. If Drew can't get more points out of this offense than what he has recently just because he doesn't have Flozell and Crayton... then we have a serious problem.

I've always felt that eventually, a player will always play to the level he has during his career...sure, there are variations in numbers from season to season...but eventually, things level out.

Also, I'm sure teams are getting wise to what we're doing...reminds me of how Parcells "hid" QC for the first half of his first season here.

What matters most is, Bledsoe is still managing the games well...he made a bonehead play Monday night...and did another one of those "hot potato" tosses today when being sacked...

But other than that, he's been pretty responsible with the ball.

So, the numbers may not be as gaudy...but he's still doing ok.

Hasn't been as bad as it could be but I think we've lost some stuff because Parcells is leaving more guys in to help the tackles. More conservative offense now.

I agree that Crayton an Flozell going down have taken a little toll on on Bledsoe. Since Crayton was lost, 3rd downs have been much harder to convert. Since, Flozell was lost, Bledsoe has had less time to throw and is getting much more pressure on him. Also, the offense has been more conservative. Bledsoe took a few shots early today and I think it affected him.

Did we go deep even once today? That surprised me considering the 'top 3' corners of Detroit were out

I know Bill is much too smart to be looking past a game today to prepare for a significantly better team on Thursday, but the whole O today was even more geared to getting the run going for the stretch.

Drew was off on some passes today, notably to Witten and Key, but he didn't have much chance to get into anything like a passing rhythm.

It was noted (by Darryl I think) that Parcells remains concerned with the speed with which Drew gets the ball out.. a factor that always mitigates the quality of the protection. Immediately after the half he seemed to be so intent on getting rid of it, he didn't look to be going thru his progressions. There is a slim line between getting Drew to improve in his weak areas and taking him off his game, and I hope Bill is treading as lightly as possible there.

Regardless, DB was once again under enough pressure for me to feel he gets a mulligan.

Then again, it's always the case with Drew wherever he goes, that definitive 'blame' can never be put on either him or oline...his ball holding and immobility just bring out the worst in any oline.

So I prefer to fence straddle and not point any fingers.

Right now, I'm more concerned about our O-line.

Yes, it is also disappointing that the coaching staff decided not to attack their secondary...it seems the coaching staff keeps out thinking themselves in this regard.

"Oohh.....their secondary is decimated, so they will expect us to attack them, so we'd better not do that..." etc.

Drew had heavy pressure from the outside all day long. Both Petitti and Tucker played poorly today. When you're QB doesn't have time to sit in the pocket it's gonna lessen his effectiveness. That's true for ANY QB, mobile or not mobile.

He got knocked around and wasn't sharp today. Need to max protect more and I think he'll be ok. Tucker and Pettiti are not exactly world beaters to begin with. Went up against 2 huge DT's today in Rogers and Wilkinson and they got a good push up the middle.

Denver isn't as big...OL should perform better on Thurs IMO.

Over the last four games Drew has been averaging 165 yards per game passing with 3 TD's and 3 picks.

He was not sharp today and appeared to be hurried. He was hit a lot and I wonder if he was groggy? He esacped a knee barely...

Still - no critical mistakes - we won 20-7. Very conservative game plan.

We max protect and we're screwed. This is why we need to bring in someone like TO. No way in hell Glenn and Key can win it by themselves when the secondary has no one else to worry about because they're all blocking.

Against pretty decent defenses.

To some extent that is true. But the Lions were without a ton of starters on defense though.

But it was the best game plan. Drew was getting heavy pressure even with the conservative gameplan. Imagine if we tried to air it out?

Romo would probably be starting against the Broncos.

I also think we played it close to the vest so that we can save some plays for the horsies.

And the critical ones were in the secondary, which we didn't seem to try all that hard to exploit.

What was the deepest pass completed today. A 15 yarder?
