What's your favorite song at the moment in 2026?

The first single off this band’s debut record is pretty sick. Very Queens of the Stone Age, very Sabbath.

Mackelmore block....feeling like dancing some, which in my condition is dangerous lol

The first two are just fun

A song that was itching for an update, and got a really good one!
I liked the original song as a kid even though it was before my time because my grandfather liked it.

I've heard other people cover it and they were not bad but just didn't carry it the same way Ernie Ford did.

It's the same for me with Johnny Cash covers.

Sometimes the only way to cover a song is to make it more unique to the cover singer.

Never did I expect to hear a cover of that song by ZZ Top that I would like. :D

I think that the only cover I've ever heard. I loved the original as a kid, though I liked it more when I wasn't watching Ford sing it. The snapping thing takes away from the performance, IMO.

For example, nothing will be better than the original KISS version, but I do like this one ..

I went into that expecting to like it more than the original, but no, the original is definitely better. (Not a big fan of Kiss)

My favorite covers are Disturbed: The Sound of Silence, Jimi Hendrix: All Along the Watchtower , and Led Zeppelin: When the Levee Breaks (Originally an old blues tune about the Great Mississippi Flood)

I was the first to post the Disturbed video on this site back when it released. That is a great cover! .. :D

As I said, I cannot imagine any cover doing better than the original KISS version, but I do like that version because they made it more unique to them.

Despite the fact I post cover songs every so often, I really do not care for them usually because so many bands/singers just don't have the right voice for the song they are covering or their rendition doesn't sound good.

Sometimes I run across versions that surprise me and I share them because you never know.

Take this cover for example .. I never liked the song, "You Are My Sunshine" growing up because people always made it sound like a "happy" song when it is not.

Then I heard this version and I finally found one I liked ..
