Every one one of those was Hells Yea! Except for chump change. I didn't enjoy that one. I didn't even capitalize it.

I'm Leavin'.....arguably Elvis' best recording from '71....shoulda been a bigger hit but I don't think folks were ready for a recording this heavy.....very deep....very personal....very real.
Elvis uses this ghost like vocal trick on the chorus.....haunting.
Truly GREAT recording.
Shoulda been a track on the Elvis Now LP.
Elvis would get even more personal a year later on the excellent sing release Seperate Ways/Always on my Mind....I think Im Leavin was so fulfilling for him personally,it gave him confidence to go even deeper.

I do still like some of the youngins tho No offense taken on chump change (believe me), I usually can just post whatever I find that's been cleaned as it's all UG stuff, etc. In DC, I'm an "Ol' head" at 33 90s/early 2000s is more my scene tbh.

Kept hearing, and liking, this song on the radio but kept missing who it was by.

Finally heard who it was by and was slightly shocked... Not so much from the band itself as they have been good over the years... But I guess due to them having a new singer and not knowing they had a new cd out.
