Ran across this. What's your starting Dline for the upcoming season?

On passing downs:
RDE: Taco
DT: Collins
DT: Paea or Thorton
DE: Irving (DLaw or Crawford while Irving suspended)

On passing downs:
RDE: Moore/Mayowa
DT: Collins
DT: Irving or Crawford
LDE: Taco

The pecking order at DL are questions at this point in time that must bear watching.

The tests in TC and the preseason games will be crucial in making those decisions.

At this stage, there is enough doubt to make this situation an enigma. Time will tell.

In a court of law it would sink your case.

Instead of taking the "hardline" why not take the accurate one?

This is the statement another poster made:

"So depressing to think about. Can anyone name a worse starting 4?"

How watching the tape of a single team without watching the tape of every other team is going to render an accurate opinion is... well... you know.

And then there is absolutely no attempt to overlay actual statistics over any of it.

The statement was what it was... Someone being negative just for the sake of being negative and of course others that wallow in that sort of thing are going to drink the same Kool-Aid.

TBD

Lot can still happen between now and start of regular season. We do know that 2 players will not be available to start first game: Gregory (all season), Irving (first 4 games). And Moore could also be suspended for his DWI in Seattle.

Players are also still recovering from injuries: Lawrence (back), Tapper (back, spine), Crawford (shoulder), Paea (knee), Mayowa (knee), Thornton (ankle, shoulder). One or more may not be 100% or reaggravate pre-existing/cause different injury.

Healthy/available players right now: Taco, Maliek, Ash, Ivie, Carrell, Wilber (LB), Darnell Leslie (LB), Lewis Neal, Woody Baron, Lenny Jones

Maybe you should take a look at what the guy did do?

Despite missing just about all of training camp, he took the 3-technique job and excelled in it. Having a better rookie year in that spot than 1st round pick and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp did in his.

There are guys to be questioning, but Maliek Collins isn't one of em.

And I hope he does
Point is that the best player on your DL is a "could" player
That is not a good DL
People take that "could" and wave it as if it is something that "will" happen

Just saying "And even he leaves a lot to be desired" is complete hogwash.

Collins is drawing comparisons to former DT's that were very accomplished.

When it comes to the Dallas DL, Collins is definately not a worry.

Yes, he is definitely a bright spot and can make a big difference

In the case of Collins, we only have one season of work to go by. But one excellent season nonetheless. I think the results support optimism rather than doubt.
