When are Glenn and TO's roster bonuses due?

Is it March 1?

I'm starting to think that re-signing Crayton is a bigger priority than either of those two and am curious the timing of free agency in relation to the due date of those bonuses.

If Crayton becomes too expensive, does that make one of those 2 too difficult to bring back.

I believe it was said TO is due a bonus of 3 mill on June 1st and the money would be spread over the remainder of the contract. I agree with you on Crayton and hope we get him taken care of.

I thought they were both March, but Jones said yesterday that both of them WERE going to be paid and that both players would be back in 07

But Jones immediately followed that statement up with "But I'd say that about every player on the roster at this point in time."

Those words meant nothing. They are both still very much in question.

I have little doubt that both TO and Glenn will return.

Just found it:

Glenn is due in March.
TO is due in June.

They would cost a combined $17.25M. Add in the newly re-signed Crayton and that would be a VERY expensive receiving corps.

I know it's difficult to remove your head from your arse long enough to see the big picture but let me try and help you:

TO - Age:33 - 2007 Cap Hit: $9.66M
Glenn - Age:32 - 2007 Cap Hit - $8.6M
Crayton - Age:27 - 2007 Cap Hit: ??

Is Crayton better than either TO or Glenn right now? Obviously not. But at some point you have to start looking at which of the 3 is the best long term option. And keeping all 3 might be too hard to do.

Crayton is an Average receiver ..... T.O. and Glenn are still 2 of the best in the game ....

Replacing them will be hard ..... replacing Crayton will be easy ...

So who has his head where kid?

Still 2 of the best in the game?? Yikes. Someone needs to take off the homer glasses.

But that homerism is pretty obvious with your sig. Roy = Pain?? Yep. That's true. It was extremely PAINFUL watching him suck all season.

What kinda misguided troll are you?

13 TD's over 1000 yards
7 td's over a 1000 yards

2 of the best seasons for each of them .....
If you hate the Boys so much ...... quite watching them and go back to extremeskins.

So you think their skills are timeless?? It doesn't concern you at all that they'll be 34 and 33 during the season next year. Historically those are not great years for WR's. You'd rather use $18.25M of cap space on two aging, past their prime players as opposed to locking up a young, up and coming player like Crayton.

I know it's difficult for the small minded to look at the big picture, but take your time and give it a shot.

The big picture is without them Dallas has no shot at making the playoffs next year.

The problem is not that Owens and Glenn are old.

The problem I see with your post is that Crayton at BEST is a #2 WR.

He is not in the league of Terry or Owens.

Signing Crayton is good for the team, however it is far from a priority in my mind.

He is the type of player that could be replaced easily.

I'm not saying we get rid of them both. I think Glenn, Crayton, and a rookie 3rd WR like Sidney Rice would be good enough for next season and put us in a much better position for the future.
