This is a VERY deep draft for WR's. Calvin Johnson isn't the only guy there who could be a #1. Dwayne Jarret, Ted Ginn, Sidney Rice, or Jeff Samardzija could all be good picks at #23 (keeping in mind we've seen no combine numbers and that could all change).

And people keep referencing Jerry's comments about keeping them both. He said IMMEDIATELY after that that he'd say the same thing about ANY player on the roster. He admitted they were empty words because it was so early in the offseason.

To me Calvin is the stand out of the group.

In my mind the only way Parcells takes a WR in a first round is if it is a complete stud like Calvin.

Otherwise I see him taking one later in the draft.

That is just my opinion.

As far as what Jerry says.

He does not say things like STOP THIS CRAP if he is not being serious and honest.

The other line is just something to cover all his bases.

He covers his bases a great deal when talking with people, says many things that cover his bases just in case some unforseen thing happens, bill does similar things.

However I have learned over the years when he says something in a specific manner you can read him like a book and take it to the bank.

I agree and just looking at some of the prospect that will be in the draft it appears to be a pretty deep group that is coming out. I think you will find quality WR even in the later rounds.

Agree completely.

But if Dwayne Jarret is still on the board at 23, I'm knocking people down running my card to the front of the room.

There are some good WR's available this year and next year is sketchy at best. We all agree that at some point the Cowboys need to get some youth and talent at the WR position. This is the year to do it. Are you going to bring TO, Glenn, AND Crayton back and then have your new young WR be the #4?

I would. Many WR take a year or 2 to get things going I would love to draft a young talented WR and work him in over having to relying on him. Having guys like Glenn,Owens and Crayton would make for an easier transition than just putting a rookie out there and expecting greatness.

I agree that WR's take a year or two of experience to get going. If he's the #4 though, he wouldn't be getting any of that experience. He'd hardly see the field.

If you have a rookie at #3, you wouldn't be expecting greatness. You'd only need a contribution: 30-40 catches, a couple TD's, and some valuable experience and continued improvement is all you'd want from him.

I know it's difficult for the small minded to look at the big picture, but take your time and give it a shot.

Exactly. You're probably one of those fools that thinks he deserves to be going to the Pro Bowl this year. Here's a little tip for you: Don't believe the hype.

get rid of glenn aka fumbleitis
Wow, talk about clueless. Even if that particular play was a fumble, to paint Glenn as chronic fumbler is just asinine.

You have my deepest, most humble apologies if I hurt your feelings.

There. Happy? Now go back to cuddling up with your Roy bobblehead while wearing your 31 jersey while ignoring the fact that the man made at least 5 citical errors in the playoff loss and was nothing sort of a HUGE liability the last half of the season.
