When did you think that this team is for real?

The Seattle win convinced me the Cowboys were for real although the loss to Washington in week 8 caused some doubt to creep back in. Being able to bounce back from the Thanksgiving day massacre to Philly and rattle off 4 straight wins taking the NFC East solidified the team as a legit SB contender.

Somewhere between weeks 3 and 4. I told my wife that something feels different season, this could be a special year.

Pretty spot on for me as well, I had low expectations going into this season but after watching how they played around week 3 I could see that something changed with the team. At that time my prediction moved up to a 10-6 team then after the Seattle game it was 13-3.

That was my thought too.

Seattle was a confidence builder. But when they beat the eagles after getting blown out I knew they were for real.

when they beat the saints i thought "team will make playoffs" - of course at that time i was thinking 9 wins gets in playoffs like least year.

when they beat seattle i thought they have a real good chance tomake some noise because a lot of the nfc favorites were floundering then.

when they beat the eagles in phialdelphia i started to think superbowl

Saw that they were a different team when they beat Seattle. I believed that they were for real when they went on the road in successive weeks and beat the Bears and Eagles. In past years, they wouldn't have been able to do that.

if you've been paying attention things have been changing for the better for several years. Basically since JG's first full season. Under him, the teams have played hard regardless of their record. This year has just been a continuation of that. Up until just this season, the team has had no consistent running game. With the emphasis on improving the offensive line, which a few of us here have been preaching for years, its enabled the coaches to game plan a balanced offensive attack. This is how you win in the NFL. Lots of inexperienced fans will preach its a passing league. But that can only take you so far. It's being able to run the ball at will and sticking with it no matter that's the winning formula. Of course the second part of that is to have the defensive front that can stop the run and pressure the QB. I haven't seen that consistently until the last 2 to 3 games so I didn't start believing until yesterday's game. I've seen enough to know that the Cowboys are legit. Doesn't mean they'll beat the Lions, Green Bay and Seattle, but they're gonna have a legitimate shot.

When we went to Chicago after the beat down on Thanksgiving and took care of business there...That used to be a game we lose and we just kept fighting...

After Chicago as well. ... something told me after the first Philly loss Dallas was going to go a winning streak. Nvr saw 12-4 though!

This TEAM has fight and determination, wonderful watching the OLine and Defense. Whipped up on the Seminoles like a cherry on top.

Shhhhhh....time of possession is the keystone for this team. There is an attitude around here a strong football culture has been created with the addition of Zach Martin .....and a good OC. Really think the key player decision is Martin, a leader along the OL as a Rookie.

Seattle was an eye opener. When was I convinced? When they were down at philly 24-21 and came back and dominated and got the momentum back.

The first real indicator was obviously Seattle, but the Washington loss kind of made me wonder again.

But then, during the second game against Philly, after they blew that 21-point lead I expected the big collapse.

Instead, I saw a composed team march down the field and take back a lead they would never relinquish.

That's when I knew that this was truly a different team
.

Same here. We would have fell like a house of cards most recent years. Instead we fought our way out of it.

I knew they were for real when they hung 100+ rushing yards on the 49ers. The 49ers had not given up over 100 yards in over a year until we did it.

We made mistake after mistake, leading to 28 1st half 49er points. Then we scored 17 2nd half points, while shutting them down.

We made adjustments at halftime, then won the 2nd half although it ended as a 28-17 loss.

I knew this team had something going when they rode into Seattle, punched the Seahawks in the mouth; made them bleed, drank their blood, and then licked the tears off the cheeks of Seattle fans, and disbelieving Cowboys fans.

We became relevant after that game. The smoke and mirrors theory went out the window!

That took balls! Seriously, nobody but you picked that game as a turning point. I see where you are coming from. Nice job! Go Cowboys!!!

End of training camp when we had a hard time getting to 53. I thought some good players or players with potential were getting cut. Maybe a little bit before that when I first starting hearing about Zack Martin being a special player at the beginning of camp. I had a feeling this OL would be special if they could stay healthy. Give an NFL QB a running game and time and you have a real chance.
