When did you think that this team is for real?

Win in Seattle

For me it was 1 minute before everyone else's answer. I'm just a better and more knowledgeable fan than anyone else so I always know everything before anyone else. : )
Seriously, Seattle. They went toe to toe with the bully on the block (in their house) and although made some crucial mistakes, they dominated the LOS and won. That was a big sign.

Might be for real? When they beat the Seahawks in Seattle.

When did I become convinced this isn't yesterday's Cowboys? When they molested the Colts in Dallas. That's a game previous teams would have fumbled away. Instead they treated the Colts with contempt. How dare you come in here with this riff raff and challenge us?

Good point

I said the Seahawks, but reserve the right to piggy-back off your assessment. Agreed.

That was my 40th birthday party, where my older brother flew in from Texas to hang out and watch the game with me, along with 30+ friends and family, who mainly happen to be Steelers fans (minus my 4 year old daughter who loves the Cowboys, like her daddy). That was a special day!

This is my answer, word for word. I was impressed with our "over achievement" before, but when they didn't fold with the Philly stadium rocking having given up the lead... That's when I really believed this team can do it all.

The American Sniper dude, ala Hangover guy must have went back to Hollywood all pissed off!

Last year in week 17 when we played toe to toe with the Eagles. After that I figured if we stayed relatively healthy we could beat any team in the NFL.

Several critical points. The key is each one built more momentum for the next. 1 Seattle but that doesn't happen unless we grind out a tough win vs. 2 Houston 3. @ NYG... was tremendous 4@Philly 5. Indy... division in front of you and you dismantle a good team.

i agree 100%. after Seattle i thought we were a formidable challenge for anyone. but we started to slide and i lost faith. the Colts game sealed the deal for me, and convinced me we are in the hunt. Yesterday just made it that much more real for me.
i LOVE our chances.

I had penciled in the three games against the Bears, Eagles, and Colts as the crux of the season.

I was surprised at the N.O. game. Even more so with Seattle. But the Commanders brought them back to earth.

Yet even after my season prediction below, I thought they might still be relevant coming into the second Bears game and that three game stretch. That stretch would decide this season, and my feeling was Dallas would be swept.

However, looking at the scores, Dallas averaged 41.25 PPG during the last four - which is December, their nemesis month.

So iot was the last four that cemented my feeling this team was truly different.

I'd say two games. The first is the Seattle game because it said we could beat the best team in the league in the toughest place to play and outphysical them in the process.

The second game is the Philly game at Philly because it said we would no longer roll over and let teams scratch our bellies as they stomped on us on the way to the division title and the playoffs. It said just because you beat us the first time, we're going to lay it on you the second time.

At what point in the season did you think that this team might be for real or better than expected? A lot of people thought that this team would end up 8-8 or a lot worse. No one gave them a chance. And I bet that no one would have guessed than they would end up winning 12 games.

So what was the turning point for you in making you believe that this team could turn out to be pretty good. For me it was the Saints game. Even though the Saints aren't any good right now. But during the time I was impressed with how Dallas played and thought that the team could turn out to be better than everyone thought they would be. Considering that a lot of people had us losing to the Saints. And that during the time that the team had gone on a winning streak.

In preseason. I said it but the regular season this team had something special. Even after the 0-4 preseason i thought they would win the east and make a run

When they came back from 21-0 to beat the Rams. That showed me they have real heart. I also began to realize how good the offensive line was about then.

At the end of training camp I said the offense had the talent to hang with anybody and that the defense had reasonable NFL level talent at most positions.

I was with you in that regard. When a lot of guys were bemoaning a lack of talent on defense, I continued to beleive that an offense that was among the best in the league could go pretty far with a defense that was around #20 or better. That pretty much has been what we have seen. The defense has seemed to take a step up as of late, and I am liking our chances for an extended run.

As far as the games, the Seattle win was all that I needed to see to know we belonged. We outmuscled the toughest team in the league. And I do agree that *** kicking we laid on the Colts was more proof. I don't care that they had nothing to play for, they were embarrassed. Hard to do more than that in the NFL.

The Colts game. They had to win that or go to a win or go home scenario (again) in Week 17. Their focus and determination just took the Colts out of that game and I knew this team had a different "Mojo".

Right now I am cautiously optimistic. The team has overcame many hurdles this year with a few more to go, next up on the 'conquering demons' list as I call it is beating DTW and controlling Calvin J and the baby fat QB that can look horrid against all others but always seems to do well against us.
Im still of the mindset we need a legit pass rushing DE as well as a shutdown CB though.

When they went to Seattle, had a punt blocked for a TD, fell behind 10-0 and then proceeded to beat the hell out of Seattle in Seattle with every weight of the world against them. I said this team is special. Now I'm saying this team is going to win the Super Bowl. Because the Dallas Cowboys are GOING to win the Super Bowl this season
