When looking at Revel and Bland, are any of them number one corners?

Agree with this, we're going to see a lot of flags on them because they get beat so easily, then they have nothing else but to do than to grab and hold! They don't locate the ball well, this issue has been going on for years though with this team
You do not know this either.
Are you out there on the field with the team and coaches to observe every play?

Revel is having a very good TC. Nothing but good stuff coming from TC reports.
Bland, there is nothing good or bad. So that is a good thing actually.

I will wait and see if he has fully recovered and his confidence is back. See how he does in games before I answer.

I don't think we have any proof that this team has a reliable #2, let alone a #1.

Maybe Revel takes a big leap. Maybe Bland has improved. Maybe the scheme is better for Durant in Dallas than it was in LA.

There's a chance it's a good unit, but it involves a lot of things to go really right.
Not to hijack the thread ..........

But that is exactly why I believe CB will likely be a top priority for our 2027 1st-round pick.....

The coaching last year was so horrendous I hesitate to evaluate defensive players based on their play in that scheme.

There was one game in the middle of the year where Ebermoron went to a lot of man defense and the team had its best defensive game. I forget which. The players looked noticeably better. He immediately went back to his idiotic defense and the results followed.

Or are they just #2 cbs, I feel in time Revel has the best intangibles to possibly be one. Bland will forever be a great nickel CB. Hoping he puts it all together this year as well. What good is trying to rush the passer, but Wrs are running around wide open!??? Please give your input!
We cannot label any player just yet, let's see what Parker can do with them first as he has a strong track record of developing the position.

And the players were so bad it's impossible to evaluate the coaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goes both ways, no reason to scapegoat like Jerry does.

Define "number one corners". If it's the best on the team, then yes, they are. If it's among the best in the league, then perhaps not.

If you watch football, this is what almost every corner does. It's not exclusive to just the Cowboys. Coogs is just trying to sound smart.

The definition of a “CB #1” is relative to the team. Some teams are loaded at this position. We are not, at least right now.

IMO the Cowboys have 3 decent corners, none dominant - Bland, Durant and Revel are good, not great.

But with the addition of Caleb Downs, who is very versatile and has good coverage skills, and with the fact that the new Parker scheme uses safeties more flexibly in coverage may help cover some of the weaknesses we have at corner.

The greatest friend of pass coverage is a good pass rush. We will see if we have more of that compared to last year.

The corners on this team won’t be the difference.

If the DL gets the pressure that they ought to, the corners will be fine. If they don’t, they won’t.

We don’t need a “number one corner.” Let them play well as a unit. That’s what I’m looking for.

Bland - not any more

Revel - yes
I'm not sure how to answer this question but I know this I think sometimes Cowboys fans think that the Cowboys are on an island and when they're having problems at tackle that no other team is I'd say a majority of the league is struggling to find 5 great offensive lineman and we could go to the defense and look at corners show me all the lockdown corners the Hall of Famers on all 32 teams or are they working with a very similar situation Some teams do have some great corners but most teams are working to just to find a solid group that can work together with the safeties with game plans to help make sure they just have defense..

Not gonna have Pro Bowlers at every position on the team that just isn't gonna happen so they try to build the positions Right now they've got the inside of both the offense and the defensive lines just locked down that's all you can ask for they have leaders on both sides of the ball they have ballers on both sides of the ball so we do have a Hey system to work with just like Seattle is more by committee That is what New England did too both of them were in the Super Bowl they didn't have a lot of superstars they didn't have the single point of failures.

Some teams just hope for solid Some don't have a Quinn and Williams in the middle but they may have a lockdown corner see where I'm going with this there's give and take all over the roster you just can't always find superstars and clear number ones all over it sometimes you just got to work with what you got.

I remember when Doug free and I know I'm getting a little off base here but people are talking about the tackles as well now they're talking about the corners but Doug Free was looked at a lot like Terrence Steele He was just solid he had his moments where he was pretty good and consistent in other times where he would get beat and fans didn't like him but really when you look back that's all you can ask for sometimes..

I can see where fans want to worry and wish this was a fantasy league where they were building their Madden team but that's not how it works when you have a limited roster and a cap and a shortage of players I mean you're not getting all these players I don't care if you picked in the top 10 you may not get a starting corner in the top ten of the NFL draft you hope so you don't like Morris Claiborne but it doesn't always work out that way...

Be What Happened to Sauce Gardner He kind of went through the Trayvon Diggs and Deron Bland moment then he gets traded for all that compensation and he's not as good as he was before I'm sure they're concerned over there..

Oh yeah once again Bob you were able to say the same things,

I just said in a very compressed and summarized version but I agree but we also have a great interior offensive line and we have some weak tackles Some teams have great tackles and weak inside they don't have a center..

So,, you're correct Some don't have a quarterback, we have a quarterback, They may have a lockdown corner but no quarterback.

Is a give and take league when starving for not only talent but you have a cap to work with and you have a limited roster you have to work with injuries so there's always a give and take you're not gonna have Pro Bowlers and Hall of Farmers all over your team you just have to hope that your team has a system in order to work with what you got..

It's like this show chopped they were given a bunch of ingredients that didn't make any sense and it had to all turn it into a meal and then they were judged and at the end somebody won Well that's what we're working with in the NFL you have to figure out what ingredients you have and how you can make a gourmet meal out of it even if there's some strange and not so tasty ingredients..

Bland's issue is health. Revel we don't know about yet. Parker has a history of pulling the best out of a secondary plus the pass rush will be better. Both have a chance to be good this year.

I will take 2 really good but not great corners.

If Bland is healthy he is a #1 corner. Is he and will he ever be again is the question and I'm not sure
Revel right now is a kid with potential who was horrendous last year (for very good reason of course). Calling him a #1 at this point is just not being reasonable. Could he be? Sure, but to assume it is more than a little hopeful and seemingly based on trying to will it into existence more than anything else. Let's see him have at least one good real NFL game before we even entertain him potentially being a #1 CB. I'm excited to see him play this year and what he may or may not develop into, so I'll leave it at that

I would say we have 3 good CB's and Caleb Downs playing a lot of slot. I will take that and focus on a bigger problem like Tackle where we have a hopefully a average LT and a below average RT with no swing tackle.
