That is an exaggeration, Martin is an OL and Pollard a RB. Both Donald and Hankins are DL. I do understand the difference. Again I was responding to what Carson said.
Ok. You have sold me. Let’s get them both on the field for us, side by side.Aaron Donald is a UT, Hankins is a NT. Completely different positions.
I don't understand. If you know the difference, why the comparison?
You missed my point. They play different positions. Polar opposites.
And they still play different positions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I was responding to someone else. My response was to Carson, not you. You jumped into it.
We now desperately need a disruptive UT to play next to him. Changes the entire D.Ok. You have sold me. Let’s get them both on the field for us, side by side.
Yeah. The problem is that they are hard to find in the draft. We now desperately need a disruptive UT to play next to him. Changes the entire D.
Yup. I can't shake the belief that Parsons would be better as an off the ball LB. I don't think he'll last long bashing his body against huge dudes. If they want to be better against the run, they can get Parson off the LOS so he can attack the ball carrier.
Incredibly hard to find.Yeah. The problem is that they are hard to find in the draft.
And they still play different positions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is much more dangerous when he can utilize his vision and speed. Not to say you don't have him rush the passer, but man he would wreak havoc on a oppositions running game from the 2nd level.Yup. I can't shake the belief that Parsons would be better as an off the ball LB. I don't think he'll last long bashing his body against huge dudes.
And he's still a completely different type player than Hankins!!Yes Donald has played at every DL position. they move him around. including at NT. they will line him up on the outside, they will line him up inside. Pretty much anything the Rams want they can get from him as far as DL postion.
2nd level player. Good way to describe. He is much more dangerous when he can utilize his vision and speed. Not to say you don't have him rush the passer, but man he would wreak havoc on a oppositions running game from the 2nd level.
Yes I understand Donald does not play a 1T.Different position.
GAbsolutely amazing that it took Jerry this long to figure this out. Yes, a big run stopping DT at NT helps w/ stopping the run all over the D. As well as keeping your LB's on the field, as they don't get near as many ball carriers getting a free run. A guy who hasn't gotten up to full speed yet has a much less likely chance of hurting a player.
U need a Donald type beside a Hankins type. No, I did not say we need Donald as he is a generational talent, but we do need a disruptive UT.Yes I understand Donald does not play a 1T.
Just simply meaning people expect Aaron Donald type domination from our DTs. He dominates the game in a different way.
He is a run clogger and looked good to me. This makes the 3T and LBs job much easier.
And he's still a completely different type player than Hankins!!
Man, you have a lot of trouble w/ simple concepts.
Now you're getting it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I agree they are different but when you compare a OG like Martin to that of Pollad that is just stupid. No matter how you cut it both guys are DL you comparing a Guard to that of a Running back is flat out stupid. As I said Donlad can play every spot on the DL and has. Hankins is a NT his job is to shut down run take on double team. Donald is moved around and never loses effectiveness at any spot on the DL
