Having Hankins will expose where the issue with the run defense is. If he is taking on double teams or standing his guy up and not moving, and there are still runs of 5yards plus , then I'm going to be looking at our LBs sideways (one in particular for his lack of initiative). If the the LBs are hitting the holes and there are still 5+ yard gains, I'll be looking at Quinn. This move for Hankins was huge.

Even though the Bears gashed us for a ton of yards, most of them weren't through Hankins. I think with Clark getting more practice in and maybe Parsons rushing the passer less on 1st and 2nd downs we will start to see improvements in the run defense.

Most were on the edge
I believe I read we gave up 2.5 per carry on inside runs

Sounds like he just wants to argue. There's a few of them around here.

We don't need to be so technical everytime we post. smh
Nope. It's the other guy who just wants to argue. Check your facts before you check in!!!!!!!!!!

I merely made the statement that Donald and Hankins play different positions, so they're not comparable. He's been arguing w/ me ever since. Maybe it's you who just wants to argue?

With Bohanna being heavier (40 lbs) and taller, you'd think he would be the space eater. Hopefully Hankins can teach the tricks of the trade to the others.

Yup. I can't shake the belief that Parsons would be better as an off the ball LB. I don't think he'll last long bashing his body against huge dudes.
Agree. I feel like once Sam Williams continues to progress they should give him and fowler more edge snaps and let Micah play inside lb on obvious run situations.

I did check my facts, man. Apparently you didn't. :)

You were the first here on this thread that got all technical. I don't get all technical like you did here, I just like to point out facts and the fact is you're the one arguing and throwing all your !!!!!!!!!!!!! at people.

Space eating is better if a player is short. And it's not just size, it's about having lateral agility and some foot quickness.

No sir, now you're just making stuff up. So no, you did not check your facts, or you would clearly see that all I did was point out that Hankins and Donald play different positions. And they do. So, why are some arguing about that? Why are you arguing now? You sure argue a lot for no reason for someone who claims others just want to argue. Pot/kettle?

Do the threads and posts about how the FO "did nothing" before the deadline count?

Hey, stop swinging your !!!!!!!!!! around!

I think this argument could've been avoided completely if everyone just recognized that he was only comparing the two regarding D-Line talent.

This is why Trysten Hill was waived:

Trysten can't stop the run like this. Between him and Big Bo I'm confident they can stop the run.

Hankins is about to get deeper into Dan Quinn's playbook during the bye week and be good to go for the home stretch of the season.

Those are a few very impressive reps. Here's to hoping he can play a few more snaps as he gets up to speed on DQ's defense.
