Theoretically the #1.overall pick would land on a worst team than the #2.overall pick with the exception of a trade.

And yet, 16 SB's for #1.overall, 0 for #2 overall.

4 HOFers #1 overall, 0 #2 overall.

11 All Pro #1 overall, 1 All Pro #2 overall.

11 with 10.or more seasons as a.starter.for #1 overall, 3 for #2 overall.

This is a very wide gap between those drafted #1 overall and those drafted #2 overall. Again, this leads me to beleive that quarterbacks are overvalued in the 1st round, especially after the 1st one is taken.

Naturally, there are some exceptions. However, as a.group, the #1.overall picks as a group are far more productive than the remaining 1st rounders despite the fact that they are typically going t o the last place team from the previous season.

I understand the concept and appreciate the research but I just do not think it matters too much. There are too many examples of first round / first overall bust at the QB position. Getting the right QB is pure luck when you get down to it because you can't measure how a college QB will be able to read pro defenses with the best talent in the world. Having a top pick usually means teams can be a little "luckier". If you feel a guy is the right QB you have to consider trying to get him.

Since 1999 the Browns have struck out 4 times in a row on 1st round QB picks, and it appears they are tired swinging at air. Skunked with Couch, Weeden, Quinn and Manziel. Nothing says it won't happen again with Wentz; thus they are trading down.

Being the new Browns, after 4 face plants and two more decades even Dallas fans wise up enough to absolutely run from a non-consensus Luck/Manning pick @ #2 Overall.

More realistic is a Bus Driver from the 'other side of the Draft'. Just like the Browns are running scared to deth from not getting a consensus like Goff. Yes they will take a QB later in the draft, they will build around that prospect and try to develop him into a starter.

Cleveland has been taking 1st round QBs for 17 years just like Wentz, and they've been there - screw that.

Not in my top top twelve.

Come on, now.

I get that we hate the Giants around here, but Carson Palmer (1 playoff win), Andy Dalton (0 playoff wins), and Matt Ryan (1 playoff win) are not better than 2x Super Bowl champion Eli Manning.

The Eqgles trade now set in motion exactly what I was talking about.

They are not the 1st and 2nd best players in the draft. This will atificially inceease the value of' the next 2-3 QB's.

Dont be surprised if Lynch becomes top 10 and Connor Cook makes it to the 1st round.

I think Archie Manning was a better overall QB than Plunket, just stuck on a horrible Saints team.

I think Donavan McNabb was a better QB than Tim Couch

I think Marcus Marriotta is a more accurate passer than Winston (Marriotta 62% completion to Winston 58% completion)

So out of your 6 examples, I think the #2 QB is actually the better one 50% of the time.

Well Marcus missed time and Winston didn't. So right now I don't think you can compare them at this stage
