Don't have to go over it in detail, since Stephen Jones took over, the front office just uses fa to resign their own and sign a bunch of low level contracts to fill in some of the gaps, what do you think our draft needs will be on draft weekend?

-Parsons is going to get resigned, but they might slow pay him like they do all other big contracts.
-Osa or someone comparable will be signed to play 3T.
-If DLaw departs, I expect Golston to return on a low level type of deal
-Carl Lawson or someone similar will be signed to fill that depth edge rusher
-If Kendricks departs, I expect a similar free agent signing
-Team will resign Lewis to a short term deal unless his market becomes too high
-Dowdle or someone comparable will be signed as the veteran back
-Either Rush or Lance will get extended
-All restricted free agents will be brought back
-Probably sign another over the hill 1T for depth purposes
-Will resign Edoka or someone on the same level

WR, RB, DT, LB, Corner, Edge, G/T probably will all be draft targets. With some many holes, you would think they have to get more draft picks to have any chance of filling half this list.

Stephen has already said they will have to play in FA this year. Team has no choice.

1 DT under contract
CB is razor thin and potentially losing JLew
LB thin with injuries and Kendricks not under contract

Right there alone means we have to sign some guys. Will it be top names that all require top dollar? No, and it shouldn't be. But some mid level FAs will be brought in.

On Offense we need a RB a guard and a WR 2 at minimum.

Us signing our own FA isn't sitting out FA, but they will have to do more.

No way you enter draft with only 3 top 100 picks and 10 picks total and fill all the holes we have.

When did he say this? All Ive heard is he said they would take a hard long look at their approach to FA.

I know we don’t see eye to eye on Osa but I hope they at least bring him back…then maybe go the cheap route in FA at LBr and RB.

I think the Cowboys offseason starts when Jeanty gets drafted between 6 through the 10th spot. The Cowboys will probably resign some of their own but won’t touch free agency. I have my doubts that Parsons will be signed before the end of training camp. I think the Cowboys will trade the 12th pick to get more draft capital and fill those positions accordingly.

Outside of Parsons, most important to fill for this scheme. Believe if they want osa back, they will get him back. Outside of Gregory, they keep the players they want to keep. I’m expecting Parsons, OSA, Lewis and a bunch of low level signings in fa, perhaps players who have worked with our new coaches to help with the transition.

That’s exactly how I feel, similar to last year, trade back and get that traded pick back.

They will continue to follow the same strategy, keep their own and just sign low level free agents.

I Dont believe they will be aggressive at DE and likely bring back Lawson / Golston along with kneeland and Williams returning.

Wilson is likely cut so safety is likely a need

Sounds about right, it would be nice if the Cowboys actually went out and targeted to improve the roster in 1 or 2 spots before the draft.

I have been trying to debate you but it is what it is. When they dropped the mess on Super Bowl Sunday about Parsons it answered my questions. Business as usual.

I think we are seeing evidence of change with coaching staff hires. Again, the big names we sign will be our own, but I still think they will invest in one or two mid level FA. Other issue is this year not a lot worth investing big money in.

Safety likely a need with or without Dono.

There is zero evidence they are changing the way they do business. Jerry even came out recently and said it will be a similar offseason as last year.

Think our expectations should be tampered as we have seen this year after year under Stephen. Reason why I wanted a HC with clout to try to convince him change was needed.

If they head into the draft with mass needs, they are going to have to acquire more picks. I aspect similar trade down that we saw last season, trade away from a good player and get two lesser ones.

Hope you’re right!

Just need them to take that next step in FA.

Needs are DT, RB, LB, WR in that order. But they may not be drafted in that order.

Heard Osa's return was in the discussions when interviewing Eberflus. I am expecting him to return. Also, expect a few low level signings that have played under these coaches to help with the transition, kind of like the Kendricks signing last yr.
