When the Cowboys start slow and the excuse is that Dak is just finding his rhythm

He will not excel unless the team the Cowboys are playing is weak and the rest of the Cowboys are already beating up on them.
But if he chokes against a good team I'm sure we'll hear the normal excuses.
So it’s that time of the day again….why are you following this team if it brings you such misery? No one will ever answer this.

Just remember that he was allowed to sit through the preseason.
No excuse should be allowed. Every game in the NFL season is important.
While I agree with you on how are starters being kept from playing in the preseason is most likely going to cause them to start off the season very rusty and likely lead to a game or two as costly losses, we all seriously need to be thankful all of our starters were kept from playing at Seattle last night! Seriously. No joke. I have been doing some research all afternoon, and I found out the reason why both DeMarvion and John Stephens tore their ACLs at Seattle last night. It's frustrating and definitely could have been prevented.

I don't have time right now, but later tonight I will create a thread about this and list recent years long information, plus links, to explain who/what was responsible for our players injuries yesterday.

I'm trying to figure out what happens to Dak haters on gamedays.

If he does well and the Cowboys win, it blows up their entire agenda. So can they truly enjoy a Cowboys win when the bane of their existence contributes to it?

However, if he does poorly and the Cowboys lose, they are the happiest people on this forum. They attack their keyboards relentlessly to let us know how right they are. So in a way, are they taking pleasure in a Cowboys loss?

There has to be so many conflicting emotions going on there needs to be some kind of case study performed. Personally, I am more interested in the Cowboys winning. Not spewing venom over one player endlessly. If Dak keeps failing, he'll simply join the list of guys who haven't gotten it done here since 1996. And that includes the last five years of Troy Aikman's career.

If you ask me this team's inability to advance past the divisional round runs deeper than just pointing fingers at Dak, Especially since this team hasn't done it since he was three years old.

The Bills played all of their starters for an entire quarter against the Steelers. They got stomped! They sure as hell need the preseason. Hopefully the Cowboys come out looking better than that.

I have a feeling the turf has something to do with these ACL tears. Even if it doesn't, NFL teams have plenty of money to afford grass. Get rid of that turf.

As if we have a choice who the QB is. Most "haters" should aim their vitriol at the leaders who keep him here, not the fans.

And if we come out strong are you going to acknowledge this take and adjust your biasing?

Meh…two years ago he was coming off that gruesome ankle injury and didn’t take a snap all PS and had one of the best games of his career against the SB champs. Practice actually works folks
He actually did have a good game. But the team as a whole looked slower than the Bucs. That game almost got away from us. We're lucky Tampa fumbled in the redzone. Giving us a chance to crawl back in the game. Or else I think the Bucs take a 3 score lead.

jerry is making a business decision by keeping dak away from contact until the season starts.
Jerry has not invested in back up QBs. So he is protecting his starter. Then the season starts and dak starts slow as usual and ends the season slow as usual. It is a cycle . but jerry sells the tickets and collects the revenue. But this does not yield a SB as we can see since 1996.

Why don't you worry about your boy Aaron? How long do you think it will take him to have half or the Jets to despise him.....?

I give it three months......refs permitting.

Funny how we’re giving most of our preseason snaps to a QB that’s never going to see the field during the regular season. Most of the players that we’re going to be counting on during the season haven’t gotten a single preseason snap. Hopefully we don’t stink it up in the opener like we did last year. Practically this entire board will be throwing in the towel if we crap the bed against the Giants. Don’t really care for the approach we’ve taken in preseason.

I don't care for it either. Guys on the radio are calling this "Team Bubblewrap".

No way Dak will crap the bed in his first game.....i am sure it will be the OL, or the WR, or the OC-HC, maybe the wind was blowing too hard or the full moon in Venus on a Sunday night. Dammmmmitttt....Dak just has bad luck sometimes.

Most of the contending teams like KC and Buffalo have played some of their starters in preseason. Mahomes and Josh Allen have gotten some preseason work. When you’re installing a new offense, I feel it’s important that you give your starters a few snaps together in an actual game. The harder we try to keep players healthy, the more they get injured.
