Just remember that he was allowed to sit through the preseason.
No excuse should be allowed. Every game in the NFL season is important.

Nope. Romo was injured in the first 2 minutes of the August 25th game against Seattle. Dak finished that game then played the entire final pre season game against Houston.
True but Dak still played behind the backup o-line in the first two preaseason games that year against the Rams and Dolphins; and also played with the reserves in that Seattle game. So to say Dak never played behind a second string line is false.

He did. But he too was supposed to be a backup until Romo went down and changed things. He was a backup playing with the other backups. I'm just saying you were wrong with the timing of Romo's injury.

Funny how we're calling out one player here- Dak- for sitting out the entire preseason.

Not Pollard, Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, Tyron and Tyler Smith, Biadasz, Steele, Parsons, Lawrence, LVE, Diggs, Gilmore, or Kearse.

No, just Dak. Guess rust don't apply to these other guys.

Allowed? Like he wanted to sit out? C'mon people, Dak wants to play every snap like anyone else. MM and company do this every year and im not sure why they continue to when this team has started slow in recent seasons. But to say they "allowed" Dak to sit out is laughable.

Mahomes is the best QB in the league and Reid finds it necessary to get him reps in preseason. That alone speaks volumes and yes Dak should be in there briefly during the preseason.
Different coaching staffs approach the preseason differently. If the Cowboys could guarantee nobody would get hurt they would gladly let the starters play some this month.

I think if Steele wasn't coming off a major injury and Zack Martin didn't hold out the Cowboys might have played Dak a little this preseason. But if you're going to ask Josh Ball and Matt Farniok to protect anyone from the Jags and Seahawks' starting defensive line better make it the backups and not Dak and Pollard.

The Cowboys' coaching staff made their decision and will have to live with it. Rust over risk I believe is what it's called.

Last night they lost DeMarvion Overshown and John Stephens to season ending injuries in a game that means nothing. What if the starters played and it was Micah Parsons and Jake Ferguson's names on that list instead?

Oh wait this is another pre-emptive strike on Dak Prescott. My bad.
Brother, nothing personal...

I just found out the reason why DeMarvion and John Stephens both tore their ACLs last night. Has nothing to do with who started or not. Yes, good thing our starters didn't play at Seattle, but they being saved from injury while playing at Seattle last night is not because of the reason you are implying. You're absolutely 100% wrong, and I will create a new thread with lots of information and several links from recent years to prove what was truly to blame for those ACL tears on our players.

I'll create the thread later tonight since I don't have time right now.

He will not excel unless the team the Cowboys are playing is weak and the rest of the Cowboys are already beating up on them.
But if he chokes against a good team I'm sure we'll hear the normal excuses.
At least you're covered either way. If Dak does good the other team sucks, and if he does bad it's because he sucks.

Pretty easy to read the agenda here.
