When the Cowboys start slow and the excuse is that Dak is just finding his rhythm

The season hasn't even started and some fans are already rooting against certain players and thus, their team, just to be proven right on an anonymous message board.

Dak doesn't find his rhythm until the prevent defense is deployed. Garbage time stat king.
Mahomes is the best QB in the league and Reid finds it necessary to get him reps in preseason. That alone speaks volumes and yes Dak should be in there briefly during the preseason.

The season hasn't even started and some members are already belittling and attacking certain members who dare to be critical of Dallas players and supposedly, their team, just in the hopes of being proven right on an anonymous message board.

Fixed it for you.

Let me spell it out for you since you are seemingly unable to comprehend the difference between criticizing a player (which everyone does) and being blinded by an agenda about a particular player. Let's go back to last season. Scenario: Dallas has 2nd and goal at the 1. There is no chance, and I mean no chance, that certain posters aren't sitting on their couch and hoping for a run (or pass if Zeke was their target) so that Dak doesn't get a TD pass because it will hurt their board agenda against him. That's not a fan of a team. I don't know who you are, but I'll guess you are one of them. Oh, and they'll always argue they aren't that type of fan and blah blah blah so don't bother

Just remember that he was allowed to sit through the preseason.
No excuse should be allowed. Every game in the NFL season is important.
“Allowed to sit”?….that says it all. Sitting every starter has been a coaching decision. Not one snap for any OL, WR, or the QB. Not one snap for any starting CB, safety, LVE, or DE. We may or may not look rusty in the first game. We may or may not commit numerous penalties. If it happens, it’s not the players’ faults if blamed on not playing in the preseason. This is completely a coaching decision.

Most teams have injuries in preseason. The Eagles already lost a CB for the season. I hated to see our rookie LB and TE lost for the season, but I was thankful it wasn’t a starter. While no one wants to lose the first game, losing starters in the preseason can have season long effects that cost the team more losses than just being rusty in game 1.

You made this up in your mind so you could look down on others on an anonymous message board because there's nothing more exhilarating than that!

Let's go back to last scenario: the Dallas defense is shutting down the SF offense, that has multiple weapons, only to watch Dak throw 2 bad INT's which cost Dallas the game and a chance for an NFCCG appearance.

That is not an agenda by those who are critical of Dak but rather lifelong Dallas fans tired of the past 27 years of playoff failures expressing their thoughts on the current Dallas QB.....but you and others continue to use your 'safe words' such as hater, troll, agenda member, etc. so as to feel better about defending Dak yet again.

Exactly. People make up these imaginary scenarios in their heads....then come to the forum to argue them in some great crusade.

That’s because Mahomes and a Rodgers were atrocious last season. They need to get back on track.

Our guy is in the zone and I won’t tolerate him even taking one snap that could put him in harms way…..not on my watch, nephew
You have a better attitude this season. Very refreshing.

That is the EXACT reason why I wanted to see Gallup in the pre-season....do not want any preventable losses up front, because it takes us a month to plainly see that the 3 best WR's aren't starting.

Where did I claim a blow out? I didn't. Enjoy the day.
Failure as described implies that as a basis with unredeemable features to it.

What was implied was failure label now for Dak due to team performance in the game against SF...why Dak had a better basis now has been adequately developed for validation there.

I used to think Dak was a slow starter.

Until that shoot out against Tampa Bay two seasons ago when he was returning from a Joe Theisman leg.

Dak is an inconsistent QB though. I'm sure he would admit it too.

YUP!

Just Like 2020 when he didn't play since week 5 the previous year and came out and crapped the bed vs the world Champs on the road!!!!

oh wait.
His injury was 2020, so I think you meant just like in 2021, where he hadn’t played since weak 5 the previous year? And yes he did s*** the bed in a loss to TB when he was stalled and settled for 48 yd field goal? Just like always no one recalls the real story behind these padded stats. He left 1:31 on clock for tb to run the table. Don’t forget last year bc game 1 looked pretty rusty

Funny how we're calling out one player here- Dak- for sitting out the entire preseason.

Not Pollard, Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, Tyron and Tyler Smith, Biadasz, Steele, Parsons, Lawrence, LVE, Diggs, Gilmore, or Kearse.

No, just Dak. Guess rust don't apply to these other guys.
Actually most teams are playing all of their starters for a series or two.

I look at last years opener against Tampa where we played like crap and then later how much better we played in the playoff game against them.
