When this season ultimately crashes and burns, would you hire DeMeco Ryans?

No. We have a good coach.

Jerry and co are the problem. Might as well give Mike a chance to try and overcome their ignorance.

I’ve said many times over changing head coaches isn’t going to do any good. No matter who Jerry hires it’s the same thing. The fact that we went 4-1 with a backup QB and have suffered a number of injuries makes it even more likely McCarthy will be back, regardless that we’re seeing smoke and some flames and will likely crash and burn in the first round of the playoffs again. There’s too many excuses for Jerry to bring McCarthy back. Some were talking him up as coach of the year a few weeks ago. The defense has been falling apart like a deck of cards the past couple of weeks. If the Cowboys were to stink on Christmas Eve and lose out along with a bad loss in the first round of the playoffs it’s possible McCarthy could get the ax.

Yep. 30 years of dumpster fire and you think D. Ryans will fix it.

Demeco Ryans has something we don’t have. An interior force at DT. Erik Armstead is significant piece to that DLine, Bosa is Bosa but you mix in that interior pressure and also try to double Bosa is a recipe for disaster for a QB. Sprinkle in two sideline to sideline LBs and baby Polamalu Jr and you can run all kinds of coverages on the back and games up front. If he comes here what will he have? Add to that he has a HC that is all about running the ball and finding creative ways to do that and throw when necessary.

It would only work if Jerry hired a head coach then stayed out of it after that...which will never happen. He didn't even let our current head coach choose his own OC.

The ONLY thing that will ever fix our problems is the Joneses staying out of it. Until then we are doomed.

The question really is- who will actually come here and coach. Not who would we want. Who will put up with an owner/gm like Jones and his son. Who will actually want to be a coach in this situation?

People like Michael John McCarthy. I wonder at times how they tolerate working for the Clampetts.

So you're content with being a one and done team? Look, I love having a good team. But don't we all want to win a Super Bowl? It's not happening as currently constructed.

No one has any idea as to whether we will be one and done this year.

When this season ultimately crashes and burns, would you hire him as head coach? I think this guy could be an incredible hire. He's assembled a great defensive staff in SF. He also has no tolerance for soft players. He would bring a physicality to the whole team. I think if you want to be an elite team in the NFL, you have to start poaching from the successful franchises.
Jerry is going to interfere and intervene with whoever he hires. No coach is immune from Jerry's meddling. Frustrating!!

I would bring in Eric Bienemy to be the OC to replace KM
I wouldnt be opposed to it but the reason no ones hired him is that we dont know how good he is when Andy Reid crafted that offense and Bienemy doesnt run it himself

however Bienemy as a HC wouldnt let Kellen call the dumb stuff he calls now because for all thats in question getting staff and players to respect him isnt...he routinly puts his foot in the players behind Mahomes included

First back to back 10+ win seasons in 25+ years and back to back playoff appearances. There will be no ‘crash and burn’ this year.

I swear, we have to be the only team with a 10-4 record who has fans that think we need a coaching change.

For what?

Coaching credentials aren't the issue.

Will he be subservient to Jerry Jones, allowing him to grab credit for the coach's accomplishments?

Will he accept the fact whatever master plan he might have will be flushed down the toilet as Jerry micro-manages him while simultaeneously undermining his authority, ignoring his advice and creating distractions?

Will he be okay with the constant contradictions between his press conferences and Jerry's?

The only eligible HC's are those so far down the ladder that they willingly accept a job that requires them to surrender all dignity and respect left

The thread should've ended here.

We are definitely the only 10-4 team with so many fans who are already giving up on the season.

LOL, nice. So Jerry is Jed, and his son is Jethro - good comparison, lol

Yes. But I'm far from the first to use that 60's TV reference here for the family Jones. I loved the show. But comparing a 2022 NFL owner/magnate to Jed and Jethro isn't flattering, IMHO. And I am sure Jerry's fans don't like it.

Your post is the first one I saw making that comparison. But I am pretty new to this forum. You made me laugh so hard, thanks for that
