The question really is- who will actually come here and coach. Not who would we want. Who will put up with an owner/gm like Jones and his son. Who will actually want to be a coach in this situation?
People like Michael John McCarthy. I wonder at times how they tolerate working for the Clampetts. The question really is- who will actually come here and coach. Not who would we want. Who will put up with an owner/gm like Jones and his son. Who will actually want to be a coach in this situation?
So you're content with being a one and done team? Look, I love having a good team. But don't we all want to win a Super Bowl? It's not happening as currently constructed.
Jerry is going to interfere and intervene with whoever he hires. No coach is immune from Jerry's meddling. Frustrating!!When this season ultimately crashes and burns, would you hire him as head coach? I think this guy could be an incredible hire. He's assembled a great defensive staff in SF. He also has no tolerance for soft players. He would bring a physicality to the whole team. I think if you want to be an elite team in the NFL, you have to start poaching from the successful franchises.
I wouldnt be opposed to it but the reason no ones hired him is that we dont know how good he is when Andy Reid crafted that offense and Bienemy doesnt run it himselfI would bring in Eric Bienemy to be the OC to replace KM
LOL, nice. So Jerry is Jed, and his son is Jethro - good comparison, lolPeople like Michael John McCarthy. I wonder at times how they tolerate working for the Clampetts.

For what?
Coaching credentials aren't the issue.
Will he be subservient to Jerry Jones, allowing him to grab credit for the coach's accomplishments?
Will he accept the fact whatever master plan he might have will be flushed down the toilet as Jerry micro-manages him while simultaeneously undermining his authority, ignoring his advice and creating distractions?
Will he be okay with the constant contradictions between his press conferences and Jerry's?
The only eligible HC's are those so far down the ladder that they willingly accept a job that requires them to surrender all dignity and respect left
Bacon for sale or rent rooms to let fifty cents I'm a man of means by no means king of the road! If you understand what I just said you are an old fartWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
First back to back 10+ win seasons in 25+ years and back to back playoff appearances. There will be no ‘crash and burn’ this year.
I swear, we have to be the only team with a 10-4 record who has fans that think we need a coaching change.

Your post is the first one I saw making that comparison. But I am pretty new to this forum. You made me laugh so hard, thanks for thatYes. But I'm far from the first to use that 60's TV reference here for the family Jones. I loved the show. But comparing a 2022 NFL owner/magnate to Jed and Jethro isn't flattering, IMHO. And I am sure Jerry's fans don't like it.
