It was the same time last season, mid season. Dak started to hold the ball for an extra second and a half, he was lost. An extra second and a half makes good o-lines look poor, Cooper started speaking out, they pushed a hurt Zeke because of his bloated contract and it all unraveled.
We can fix the penalties on the line, we can run Pollard more, we lost Coop but I like Cee-dee, JW, Gallup & Tolbert... can we get Dak back to three steps and release?

That's the adjustment Moore never made imo, Dak was holding the ball longer (injured too) and it never got figured out.

Understood but the target and responsibility should be on the one who is creating this dysfunctional situation.

Now if you want to establish all of our coaches are bozos that’s fine but that is more of the norm in our dysfunctional organization .

We’ve only had two Coaches or HC’s which walked away as a result of Jethro’s ways in Jimmy and Bill.

But this is why we can’t take our football operations as serious . I’m not sure why fans thought McCarthy was going to be any different . The way Moore was basically dictated to him should have said it all.

I was fine with McCarthy not messing with the offense these first coupla years.. but now three years in he should feel comfortable enough with the old Cowboys offense which is descended from the Sid Gilman/Air Coryell offense that he can infuse some of his own WCO based concepts. And he definitely needs to reign Boise Boy in come red zone time. All this getting cute in the red zone made all my hair fall out! LOL!

He had one of the best QBs in history, but he struggled to get the most out of him. Stale and outdated are two things that the Dallas offense does not need.

The reason I thought it might be different? Hope. That's all we have.

A big deal was made of Jerry letting MM choose his assistants, but still....Moore was basically forced on him.

Does anyone really believe MM wanted Moore, or did he just say that knowing that would help him get a 30 million dollar payday?

But Jerry always wants to choose the coordiantors. He even had Parcells retain Zimmer and stick with the 43 for two years.

His fingerprints are still all over the offense as far as I'm concerned.

No, he doesn't call plays or dictate scheme, but he much more than likely offers his "opinion" as to what he may 'like to see.'

Having a puppet in place means he will be listened to, so we are stuck with learning on the job types for 15 years now. That's what Mr "I'll do anything to win" offers his fanbase.

He really should have just taken the sidelines instead of Campo to get it out of his system but he knows how humiliated he would have been.

I think he’s a very smart guy who had he worked a few years with as an assistant could be really gods. Jerry decided to let him learn on the job and that is not the ideal way to do it. But that’s where we are so I’d expect him to get better but like starting a rookie on day one, there will be growing pains

Sure it does, it makes plenty of sense. What make no sense is our O-line eroded with a pair of 25 year old players like Lael and CW, they didn't change or get worse, they were just exposed. They were irrelevant the way Dak was getting it out weeks 1-7

Go re-watch the opening game against TB and then watch our games against the DE, LV, KC or the playoff game, watch how much longer Dak is holding the ball.
Something changed. I believe it was a combo of injury and the defenses schemes Dak started to see.

He was uncomfortable and it showed the rest of the year. OC made zero adjustments
