I'm certain that there have been several that were cut and had success with other teams.

Marshawn Lynch was obtained for a 4th round pick after being the 12th overall pick by the Bills.

I'm sure this has been answered but... the Cowboys didn't "cut" Jimmy Smith, they put him on the "draft" list for the expansion teams (carolina/jacksonville). Plus he wasn't a "bust" in dallas. He had a serious stomach issue that I believe almost killed him.

This is not correct. Jimmy was cut and the plan was to put him on the practice squad. The eagles claimed him on waivers and at some point they cut him. He was out of the league for a little bit of time and the expansion Jags then signed him.

George Teague. Traded form the Packers to the Falcons but the Falcons cut him in under 7 days returning the draft pick that they traded to the Packers. Cowboys signed him after that.

Kurt Warner is the greatest example of this - hands down. Released by the Rams in 2004, he signed a FA contract with the Giants..played a year,mother opted out of the 2nd year to become a FA again. Signed with AZ, led them to the Super Bowl.
