I am not talking about after a win,
I am talking about feeling good about the future and the direction.

I can't remember the last time I did ...

I know what you mean, Parcells did give a ray of hope ...
In all honesty, I never did have hope for Parcells. The minute Owens was shoved into the locker room by Jerrah I knew it wasn't going to work. In my opinion. If Jerry had kept his meddling hands out of it I believe Parcells would have stuck around for a the very least another year.

Romo first starting gave me hope, but when Parcells left, I lost all hope for the team.

When Parcells was named as the coach.

Back then we had guys like Sean Payton and a ton of other coaches like Sparano and others that we were told we're the future of the organization after Parcells is over.

This turned into Jason Garrett and the rest is history

So thanx for the memories.

End of 05. That was a real rebuilding year.

Excellent draft, excellent guy in charge, excellent coaching staff and romo waiting in the wings.

Then the moron owner strong armed the whole thing and signed Owens.

2009...

Crushing the Eagles 3 times in one season felt damn good!

Agree. This was the last time. Our defense was playing well and the offense was good enough.

And then came the Vikings game...

The 2007 season. Felt like the players were responding to a players coach after Parcells years. Felt like they wanted to make a point that the coach doesn't have to be that kind of guy. I knew well that a good coach DOES have to be that kind of guy, but hoped they would give me a couple solid runs before the inmates took over the asylum. They got close.

But wade got in the way. Benching starters after securing the top seed and first round bye. Not going into the last games with a winning mentality. Only to get beaten by the Giants who snuck in on a wildcard.

Two years after Jimmy started. I loved Landry, and whereas I respected his philosophy that football was just a job and "the most important thing in his life was his relationship w/ Jesus Christ", I was really happy to see somebody in here for whom football was the only thing in his life. I had been to a few of those games in Candlestick in the '80s and been embarrassed to be wearing the colors. I know Tom was too, but not enough to change his ways...

The year Barry took over. I'd read several articles about how Jimmy's over critical, hard-assery had worn heavily on the veterans. A breath of fresh air and a chance to exhale would bring good things to Dallas. It's hard to say that it didn't work, even if it was briefly...
