When we beat the Lions, what will you admit?

The Lions aren’t that mighty and not some top tier team. They have one impressive win on the road against a struggling KC team. Dallas should run them out of ATT with their tails tucked between their legs. Beating them at home is expected and doesn’t move the needle. It would be a different story on the road though….

Will you admit that we are a bonafide contender? A cut above the rest in the NFC? What does a win mean for you, at this point of the season against a very good Lions team?
It'll mean that there's a good chance the referees officiated the game fairly.

I hear Jerry will be passing these out after the season ends in a few weeks...

That the season ends 2 or 3 weeks later.
Just check with the 'ol stock broker and invest in gold...for sure. Right now can the Chinese and Soviets even combined, be anything more than a regional influence? :muttley: This Cowboys team is a strong team if all starters are on the field.

Where do you possibly derive from anything that has happened this season that we should admit anything about how "a cut above" we are?

Will you admit that we are a bonafide contender? We've been a contender all along. We just don't coach or play like it.

A cut above the rest in the NFC? No. I don't see the Cowboys beating SF, PHIL, LA or even DET on the road. Might add SEA in there.

What does a win mean for you, at this point of the season against a very good Lions team? Nothing. The Cowboys could win by 20 and it would still mean mothing. The only thing that matters at this point is the playoffs.
Big dog - I’d add Tampa to that list…I don’t think we win…they are a different team right now, and we aren’t.

It will also mean we are right where Jerry wants us another 12 win season good enough to make the playoffs but never good enough to get the one seed home field advantage and actually be able to contend for the super bowl.
It's amazing how much you have to sacrifice to get to that big game before we had Garrett who was the king of eight and eight and just couldn't get us to the playoffs.

Now we have McCarthy whose full well able to get us to the playoffs but we can just never get that bye and home field advantage to get us over the next hump to the big game.

So it's a way more fun season to watch than what we had with Garrett and at the end we get to play a game in the postseason and stay relevant to make Jerry money.

But unfortunately the big picture in the outcome is always the same with Jerry steering the ship we don't get the players we need we don't get Derrick Henry we're stopped on the 6 yard line in the eagles game we don't even have a running back that'll receive the ball on the one yard line in the Miami game we let the eagles get Shaq Leonard we don't add any good offensive line depth you don't get the big game unless you push all the chips to the table Jerry is unwilling

Just a nice win against a quality opponent. At this point of the year with 2 games left and knowing we are likely going on the road for the postseason, a place where we absolutely struggle, the team has to show me they are more than a division round out ceiling and they do that with actual results in the playoffs.

I’ve been optimistic all year but now with 80% of the course completed - it’s time to start the final.

If you've watched the Lions recently you'd know they're leaking oil badly heading into January

This is a game the Cowboys should win comfortably at home. If this is less than a double digit win shame on the Cowboys

And if it is a double digit win I'll admit we played up to our capability today. Nothing more, nothing less

If we beat the Lions I'd love to be able to admit that we were able to secure home field advantage or achieve the number one seed but that's not going to happen so I'm just going to hope we leave that game healthy with no glaring injuries

.. Even without a win. This team has what it takes to win it all.
If they stop shooting themselves first.

No. We'll be at home . We can't win against a good team on the road. And that's where we are going to have to be in the playoffs. The way TB is playing I think that could be a tough game to win.
Nowadays it seems that all the games are somewhat iffy. You never know how it's going to end up. We have the biggest problem playing well on the road.

It means we win and if the Eagles lose. We only have to beat Washington on the road the last week to win the division.

I am with many others. Beat a team on the road in the playoffs. And then win again, and again.

This team has what it takes, but they all too often fail in big win games.
