No. We'll be at home . We can't win against a good team on the road. And that's where we are going to have to be in the playoffs. The way TB is playing I think that could be a tough game to win.
Don't say we can't!! no such thing!!!!

for one we beat Tampa Bay in the playoffs last year and don't give me all that it was Tampa Bay and the old version of Brady it was outdoors on the road, IT COUNTS! I can say with Hall of Fame quarterback either way you want to slice it they may have been the worst team in the playoffs, which I'll actually debate it might have been Minnesota and the giants first,

so we could be any of those teams on the road in my opinion...

Now let's go back through some of the road games,

yes we got our butts kicked in the Buffalo game with bunch of sick and injured players, &n the 49er game.

we were missing many starers in the Arizona game, but they don't count but I can tell you right now we played well enough to win in Philadelphia and in Miami. we had some bad breaks with some penalties and feel that miss handoff those things can flip in a heartbeat.

so don't say we can't compete on the road because I say we can win one we just gotta limit our mistakes you can't have a bad handoff you can't step out of bounds on a two point conversion even though it was a forced step out, he was trying to avoid the tackle, and you got to hope that the referees give you a break just like Schoonmaker sitting there on the 1 inch line it doesn't get the call for pass interference but don't tell me this team can't win on the road,

the words can't, I'm tired of hearing about it,

we can win on the road against a good team we just have to have some breaks go our way but I'm encouraged by the Miami game and I'm encouraged by the Philadelphia game both good teams both on the road both close losses..

it means we can compete, we just can't have the nonsense like we did the last two 49er games, which don't tell me we didn't compete those two games in the playoffs were lost by 6 points & 7 points we had a lot of little things go wrong like penalties and crazy calls a couple missed opportunities by the defense dropping & interception,

we have been close, so don't act like it's over before it starts don't be "that fan".....

People love the "I gotcha" game, don't they?

It'll prove that we're a stellar home team, although we'll most likely play all our playoff games on the road where being a great home team will do us a lot of good.

They are favored to do so. I'd say they are likely to win both games.
Being favored doesn’t assure anything. I’m not saying they’ll lose either game.

Will you admit that we are a bonafide contender? A cut above the rest in the NFC? What does a win mean for you, at this point of the season against a very good Lions team?
We will beat Washington. That is it. And one and done against Tampa in first round and McCarthy is gone.

That we are a great home team, but have yet to prove we can win on the road under any kind of adversity.

The Cowboys have obviously not looked good the last two weeks and are on a two game losing streak, including getting their arses kicked in Buffalo. There is a reason Big Mike thinks this will be a challenging team. I understand Dallas has been great at home. But this isn’t a cupcake team either. I hope some of you are right but I personally do not think they are going to win comfortably, if they win at all. If the Lions are leaking oil, Dallas flat out blew an engine the last two weeks.

I like Campbell and think he will have them ready to play. If Dallas wins, it would be a good win to get them back on track. Go Cowboys!

Dallas finished with an unblemished regular season home record versus the NFC North Champions.
Will you admit that we are a bonafide contender?
No. This team lost that opportunity for me to state that based on the regular season, not because they sustained losses, but lost in pathetic fashion on the road to:
  • Arizona
  • San Francisco
  • Buffalo
A cut above the rest in the NFC?
No. NFC cuts are playoff seeding at this stage of the season. Currently, the Cowboys are a fifth seed. Which teams are a cut above Dallas right now in my opinion?
  1. San Francisco, who bumbled against the Ravens but left on the road tracks on Dallas
  2. Philadelphia, who Dallas bumbled a victory away on the road in the closing moments
  3. Detroit, who Dallas is fortunate to play at home but has not played this season on the road

What does a win mean for you, at this point of the season against a very good Lions team?
Practically nothing. It is Week 17 of the regular season, not Week 18. A win over a very good Detroit team, along with a 49er loss to the dreadful Commanders, along with an Eagles loss to a totally beatable (unless they are playing the Cowboys) Cardinals, will momentarily increase the opportunity for the team to secure a home playoff game. Let those three dominoes fall as such and my confidence increases that the team can survive the wild card round.

Why? Because Dallas has demonstrated it plays its best ball, even irregularly, at home. Right now, today, this moment, Dallas has shown its best chance of advancing in the postseason is hosting playoff matchups. A counterargument can be made the team's chances will likely plummet playing away from AT&T Stadium.

Not even going to think about additional what ifs until Week 18. Got enough of a headache thinking what are the team's odds are a week too soon.

Then you are saying that the Eagles will win both of their games. You are saying something.

I didn’t say that. You’re just twisting my words as usual.

Win or lose against the Lions won't mean a thing, the Cowboys are in the playoffs, that is where the bonafide contenders come from. This next game is nothing but fluff however I do hope the Cowboys win big, if they can.

What if we loose to the Lions? It will speak more volume about where this team is at, then if we win

If the Cowboys beat the Lions (which I expect), I’ll admit a 50/50 chance of winning the division.

It will mean that at that point I'm 75% right. I stated Dallas would go 2-2 over our last 4 games. We have the two losses so now it's time for the two wins.

lol, talk about diversion and moving the goalposts. Everybody was talking MVP and riding high before the last couple of games, if anybody needs to do some admitting right now it's them.
We don't need any more games to tell us who Dallas is, they're a mid second tier team. Detroit, Seattle, Dallas, Philly are all about the same, they could all play each other 10 times and end up about 5 wins, 5 losses each. If they played San Francisco 10 times they'd lose 9. If somehow San Fran gets upset then it's all up for grabs.
