When we beat the Lions, what will you admit?

It wouldn’t impress me much. We are an elite home team. It’s hard to beat us at home. We’re coming from a 2 game losing streak, we will come out hard. Totally opposite when we play away.

Will you admit that we are a bonafide contender? A cut above the rest in the NFC? What does a win mean for you, at this point of the season against a very good Lions team?
No. Nothing has changed. They can win at home and I expect them to beat the Lions. They don't do well in the playoffs.

First off I don't think they beat the lions. But if the did that would only confirm how inconsistent they are.

Means we are very good at home and suck on the road.
And since we need to win on the road during the playoffs the playoffs will be very short for us.

That we are a tier 2 team that beat another tier 2 team. If we lose then we are at the bottom of tier 2 teams.

I'll admit that I was right about not losing again until the divisional round.

Yes I want to be more optimistic and I will hope against hope, but the Lions game alone doesn't make up for the last two. Plus it's a home game and we have to beat good teams on the road.

A true contender doesn't get their butts handed to them by Arizona, San Fran, or Buffalo. They find ways to beat Philly and Miami. Beating Detroit won't make up for those boneheaded losses.
Not saying we're a true contender, but San Fran got their butts handed to them by the Ravens and the Bengals. Philadelphia got their butts handed to them by us and the 49ers. The Eagles didn't find a way to beat Seattle or the Jets. The 49ers didn't find a way to beat the Browns or the Vikings. I don't think those things mean there are no true contenders, just that it is difficult to play great in every game. Injuries can prove costly (like us missing three starting offensive linemen against the Cardinals) and mistakes can prove costly, especially on the road. There's often a fine line between winning and losing and sometimes you fail to walk it.

This is a goofy thread. "What will I admit?" What does that even mean?

I'll admit that games against the Top tier teams, ones with legit chances of winning a SuperBowl, that we're 2-4, with both wins coming at home.

I'll admit this as well: But...But...THE REFS!

also...Dallas has been in the 7 or 8 "Contender group of teams" all season long, and will still be win or lose this weekend. Very strange statement by the OP

'A cut above the rest of the NFC"? Based on hypothetically beating the Lions after losing 2 straight? No....just still in the same grouping they've been in all year.

What a goofy goofy post

"we trust our guys"

"we have something to prove"

"We just gotta get better".

"when we _____blah blah blah".

Sounds like your hedging your bets a little too hard this time, Dak. But..a good time to do it, at home where your chances are way better than 50-50.

So *if we don't*...then what?

But hey let's continue to call out how other fans fan because it makes us better fans.

That we are an undisciplined and inconsistent team and cannot win against good teams on the road
We can't do a darn thing about being out coached. We have the roster to win it all. Review every loss......you know I am correct with this post.

No, because the game is pretty much meaningless for both teams. Plus the game is at home where we’re undefeated. We’re a different team at home compared to on the road. We’re not a not a bonafide contender on the road. We’re not a good team on the road.

Meaningless? Dallas HAS to win to have any chance at #2 unless you are satisfied at the #5.

What difference is seeding going to matter? We’re on the road in the playoffs no matter what we do. I’m not sure we can beat any playoff team on the road.

That thinking Sean Peyton wouldn't pick up Ben DiNucci.

Hmm, #2 is two home games……..

If Cowboys beat the Lions, they will still be alive in the division race and could be the 2 or the 1.

No. We'll be at home . We can't win against a good team on the road. And that's where we are going to have to be in the playoffs. The way TB is playing I think that could be a tough game to win.
I disagree with the can't win against a good team on the road. The Miami game could have gone either way.
