Dude that's so far from the truth you guys are ridiculous like this whole narrative like other teams don't experience droughts how about the ones that have no championships whatsoever how about those who only have one in their entire existence how about teams that don't even make the playoffs on a consistent basis how about that bottom 28 teams that seem to fall below the Dallas Cowboys most years yes I realize it's a regular season but we are qualifying and winning divisions which is more than many teams and I mean a long list of teams in the NFL that don't even do that well...
I mean the Kansas City Chiefs took 52 years between their championships I mean Eagles have one championship and yes I realize we're talking about the NFC championship game and whatnot but these things come in circles in my opinion they ebb they flow there's lots of teams with droughts it will come full circle someday and we'll get back to us we'll start winning again it's not even the longest drought in the NFL and the odd thing or I should say irony in this whole thing is we're waiting for number six Jerry's waiting for number 4 but we are the Dallas Cowboys and after this long Astra we're still number three all time in championships and we are the only team since 1989 with three plus championships I mean if that doesn't tell you anything I don't really know what you all love to pile on this ownership and I'm not saying I like the ownership or I love the ownership I really don't care I'm indifferent on who owns this team I follow the star I look forward to the season but you are out of control acting like there's a curse here which by the way I thought ended when Jimmy Johnson finally got put in the Ring of Honor I mean that was the old narrative now it's a new narrative that's a core value?
No I wholeheartedly disagree eventually our turn will come again.. But I'm loud now I'm glad that the goal posts are moved because now instead of Super Bowls which we can clearly making debate for this happens to all teams you moved it to championships in conference games because that's easier to debate because we haven't been to one in that long and it has nothing to do with Super Bowls anymore I always thought it was not getting close it was winning championships but I guess the bragging rights now would be making an NFC championship game then the goal posts will be moved again to winning and NFC championship game then the goal post would be moved to get to a Super Bowl and then it will be moved to winning a Super Bowl...
I get it let's pile on because that's a good thing to do for fans but you know the things you can't control you should just put aside because this is about football and it's always been about watching games debating games debating players what's going on on the field should be most important but everyone's got super involved with the Google sensation where all the stats and the contracts are put online for everyone to feel like there's some know-it-all Internet super GM's which are not...
There are a lot of teams that are struggling to even make the playoffs or win a division title..
isn't it ironic that's still top five would be the Dallas Cowboys all time for both Super Bowl wins and conference championship appearances how is it with this long drought we're still in the top five why are the other teams just not lighting it up and dragging the Dallas Cowboys down to the depths of our fan base thinks we're at?
I get the frustration, I really do ,I want one as bad as anyone but as I said it's a cycle this drought is not as big a deal as people think it is yes it's a gut punch... the constant falling short sucks, I get it... But when you look at the big picture this is not an entire sports landscape of professional sports this is not even close to the worst drought in the history of any sport and it's least our Dallas Cowboys are relative, they're winning they're making the playoffs 5 out of the last eight years they're competing and it'll eventually will break back our way..
