When will we go through "growing pains" of grooming a young QB and eat a season?

I honestly don't see it happening until Parcell's tenure is finished.....that is unless we are forced to do so.

I've always thought we should draft a QB every year......Heck!! you're bound to hit on one sooner or later. and I am serious...

They had 2, 1st rounders. Matt Schaub and Billy Volek could have been had for less.

Coming off of a losing season after being a playoff team... The Cowboys could have taken the hit for one more year.

Last years QB crop was not among the best. All about which QB would fit a system as opposed to which QB to build a system around.

EDIT: And that was part of my point in the other post. Dallas could have held onto their first round picks and still netted a pretty decent young QB with NFL experience.

I have no complaints at all about addressing the D side of the ball 1st. The D in 2004 was a joke. The "93" team could not have scored enough points w/that D.

Now if we can find a way to get Quinn next year I would be more than happy.

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see another QB brought in this year. It's funny how everyone thinks that needs to happen, but they also want the QBs here to get every snap as well. I don't see how it happens both ways...

I don't think that Bill is the biggest believer in reaching for a quarterback in the first round though. I actually agree with him. There is a more likely chance at busting with your first pick on a QB than any other position. Now, if someone was actually worthy of that pick, I don't think Bill would hesitate at all.

Not to beat a dead horse but Bledsoe played very well this year until flo went down. I agree we need to groom for the future, but we aren't that bad off at QB....

I think Jerry is going to go the FA route with the QB postion for years to come and if the postion of acquring a young QB through the draft presents it's self than jump on it.
