To all the people who said the NFL had an agenda and wanted to Pats to win:

I hope this Pats loss proves to you that there isn't some big cover-up involving "ESPN and the NFL's hatred for the Cowboys" and their love for the Pats and assistance with overcoming the Spygate scandal.

In fact, things probably could not be worse for the Pats and that game tonight was definitely called in favor of the Giants. The Pats had some ill-timed penalties go against them by a crew that some on this board claimed were going to be completely Pats friendly.

Obviously, it's one thing to come on here and be completely wrong about how a certain player or team will perform...we all do it...but I hope this at least shows you that although refs can clearly miss plays and make huge mistakes, there is no bias significant enough to help a team win a championship and there certainly isn't any pre-determined outcome that the NFL has for its teams.

It's pretty clear that the NFL just wanted the Giants to win, to give everyone a nice underdog to root for (which is why it couldn't be Dallas) and beat the Patriots, taking away the stink of the cheating scandal a bit.

This was clearly all contrived. Not sure what you're trying to prove.

I was thinking the same thing last night, where are they?

Yeah, the conspiracy is only destroyed if the NFL fully investigates these Spygate III allegations- cheating against the Rams in their first SB- and beyond.

The game needs its integrity restored.

By the way, that SB was horribly officiated. From the facemask on the tackle of the opening kickoff to Bradshaw's fumble that wasn't, there were a lot of really bad calls.

It goes both ways. Rodney was pushing a receiver off his route well past the 5 yard line on an incompletion and didnt get called. The only blatant foul I saw that wasnt called was the catch by Toomer.

Welker got mugged pretty bad in the 3rd. No replay however.

If you're talking about the 3rd down, then yeah. Welker got rocked.

LOL. I'm not sure if sarcasm was intended or not.

But, in this very own Cowboys zone, someone predicited this exact same scenario, saying that the "evil empire" will be overthrown in the SB by the underdog. Unfortunately, it wouldn't the 'Boys who did it but another "chosen" team, but I can't find the post right now to quote it.

So doubt will always exist.

After the disaster that was the Steelers/Seahawk mess, I am pretty sure the refs have been told to step back and only make the calls they have to.

You gotta be kidding me. How can anyone think that this was masterminded to where the Giants were groomed into the Super Bowl AND to win it? You can only use the refs in a limited fashion to throw a game one way or the other. Especially that many in a row.

They "let the guys play" late in the game, the Giants defense was very physical all game. A lot of good no-calls late in the game, the decision to let Eli keep going when his forward progress was stopped was questionable, as well as Welker getting the business on two plays late.

Side-note: Philip Rivers was right, Hobbes is the worst corner in the league. Well 2nd worst, Reeves takes the cake.

With all of the cheating talk this week the NFL would have been insane to make it look like they were helping the Pats in anyway.

I don't know why the Patriots didn't Challenge that Fumble recovery, he was clearly down then the Ball was Wrestled away from him.

The conspiracy angle regarding the Pats has little if anything to do with the coverup regarding Spygate.

Just because the Pats didn't win this game doesn't mean that Spygate isn't still an issue.

Before the game, Goodell implanted a special football that was to be used by the Giants on their last drive, that contained a special remote controlled device that, when activated, would keep the ball in the receiver's hands. That is the only way Tyree holds on to the ball. Watch the replay again, and you can clearly see Goodell on the sidelines disguised in an overcoat and Dick Dasterdly mustache holding a remote control with antennae and big red button.

It is obvious there is a consipracy.

Oh please. Goodell's messed his drawers because a real-life "Specter" was haunting him. He served up the Pats as a sacrificial lamb. It reeks of conspiracy to me. This IS the WWE we are talking about, right?
