I think the reason the Giants won is so the cheating by the patriots would go away. That and the fact that it makes for a much bigger story that the NFL now has it's "poster boy's" in the back to back super bowl winning brothers.

I have to agree with rangers71 and YoMick. A buddy and I stated that when the G-girls beat our Boys that they were going to with the Superbowl. I told him that with all the Spygate crap that now they had a good angle to use to try and make everyone stop thinking about it and would now use the Brothers angle. I told him that if the G-girls actually won the Superbowl it would be the first time in history that brothers had ever won the Superbowl, let alone back to back. I am from NY and I absolutely hate the fact that the G-girls won and now all I hear is at least the Boys lost to the Superbowl champs. Totally ridiculous, when it should have been us.

Another thing this does is places more questions on the Pats other SB wins. They beat the Rams, Panthers and Eagles all by 3 points. Then they get caught cheating, there is a story about them cheating before their first SB win, and after all that they lose by 3.

This years' Pats team was IMO much much better than the ones who won Super Bowls. And IMO this years' Giants weren't as good as the Rams that year, and it's debatable whether they were as good as the Eagles. They were probably better than the Panthers.

No they are working on the new theory. So let me offer some help. I think the NFL wanted the Giants to win because now it will be easier to get teams to go overseas as the Giants did because in the end it did not stop the Giants from winning the SB. I could get good at this conspiracy stuff if I actually believed in it.

What is funny as big of a draw the Cowboys are and the revenue the Cowboys bring in from NFL items being bought you would think the league would want the Cowboys to win. Then again I believe the league does not care who wins they leave that up to the teams to go out and perform and whoever does the job the best will end up in the SB
