Where are the Jeff Heath haters now?

I can remember watching several Cowboys preseason games and on many plays I kept seeing this guy flopping around with tenacity on every play, and jumping in on every pile on. I was thinking to myself at that time, "who is this guy?" Well he ended up making the team and became a pretty nice player for my beloved Cowboys. His name, Bill Bates. Unfortunately, I have yet to see this from Heath although I would love to see a success story.

Heath is athletic and has some burst/speed that you can't teach. He is raw and needs experience. The good thing is, he seems to be improving game to game.

I dont hate Heath. I just dislike his missed tackles and terrible coverage.
Perhaps he can make a name for himself but lets not act like this guy is Steve Atwater or something.

The dude is a rookie and seems to be improving every game. Let the guy get some experience before writing him off. I like his physical play and athletic ability.

This may be the classic case of "who gives us the best chance to win now," vs "future expectations" situation. Darren Woodson didn't start his rookie year.

Because at least Heath is in the area of the ball. Wilcox looked like the invisible man when he was out there.
