Merriman looks very average now that he's off the juice, playing outside of Wade's attacking style, and not having the advantage of a great offense that builds leads that let you tee off on the QB.

AdamJT13;1751569 said:There have been several statistical analyses done about Merriman's 2006 season. One showed that Merriman feasted on extremely poor pass-protecting teams.

So how do you rationalize Peterson running only 12 times for 112 yards against GB (same amount of carry against the Cowboys)?bigbadroy;1751515 said:yeah but my point is the coach took the ball out of peterson's hands. we weren't blowing out the vikes to were they had to stop using the running game.
Chocolate Lab;1751787 said:Just going against the Raiders and that bed-and-breakfast protection scheme was like facing Winston Justice twice a year.
Nobody on that D is doing much. You'd think that the unstoppable Jamal Williams could've done more to stop Peterson, wouldn't you?
Ah, I remember the good old days (several months ago) when everyone said our defense couldn't possibly get the same results SD got because their front seven was so much more talented than ours.
Whoops.

brad childress is clueless. look at the last few games where he has givin peterson 20-30 carries. I'm pretty sure he got a good amount in philly and they kept him in check. but look at what the kid did against chicago and the chargers. my point is i think we got lucky that childress is a dumb coach and stopped using his best weapon against us and the packers.03EBZ06;1751825 said:So how do you rationalize Peterson running only 12 times for 112 yards against GB (same amount of carry against the Cowboys)?
I'd agree that childress is a horrible coach.bigbadroy;1752074 said:brad childress is clueless. look at the last few games where he has givin peterson 20-30 carries.
