Everyone is saying we need to draft a young QB but don't we already have one on the roster?

Where does He rank amongst the QBs in this draft class?

I am a big believer in drafting a QB and having Him sit which is where the Cowboys are at with Will

Where does everyone stand with Him? I am hopeful
Probably a UDFA

There is nobody on the current rosters that can take this team to the playoffs

Dak can get us to the playoffs, but then he chokes. Two years in a row. We've hit his ceiling. Time to move on...which means finding one elsewhere because Rush and Grier won't even get us to the point Dak does.

If Dallas wants to draft a QB they are going to need to at least get into the top 10, and possibly 5. To get into the top 10 you are looking at trading this years 1 next years 1 and possibly another pick such as this years 2 or 3. Otherwise you are simply not going to be in position to be drafting a QB.

We need a top talent QB. Someone who has the arm and brain to play QB.

Someone who can also handle the big spotlight of playing in Dallas. Need someone who is calm under pressure, doesn't get rattled. On top of talent.

If we can find a guy like that and develop him I'd love it.

He couldn’t beat out Cooper Rush I’m not holding back on spending a draft pick on a QB because of Grier .

He did until he got injured. Not sure if Grier is a starter in this league but he’s definitely more talented and has more potential than Rush.
Rush is what he is. Smart guy who plays within his abilities. He’s never gonna be a starter in the league but I could see him on a staff when he’s done.
I’d love to take a flyer on a QB at some point if there is a guy there with some potential but even in the first round it can be a crap shoot

Grier was horrible in Carolina when he got playing time there. He's more gifted physically than Cooper Rush but he takes far too many chances with the ball and is very raw in all facets of the game.

The Cowboys snuck him back and forth through waivers three times in September and no team put in a claim. I think that sums it up.

What is it with this fan base and the desire to score on a late draft pick at QB? There is no need to overthink it, hire good coaching and get a blue chip first rounded and make a go of it.

Those who want to rid themselves of Dak will likely get to see an OT, CB and DE before this FO considers drafting a QB. That's simply the way they roll. I'm not inferring that I favor of Dak being retained indefinitely but I'd surely like to see a QB taken early in the next draft, although I do seriously doubt this FO has any intention of doing so. That 40 million contract equals a commitment to them that they'd be embarrassed to quit on. Big egos have a way of avoiding anything that might deter from their "proud" image.
