Where does Will Grier rank amongst QBs in this draft class?

Can he really be any worse than the guy given the starting job?
This is something that people fail to factor in. Everyone is screaming for Dak's head. Majority of fans are fed up and want a change. This will put a tremendous amount of pressure on the Draft selection

If we draft from our position in 1st or 2nd. The selection will be a "Talented" project with a question mark (Will Grier without the NFL experience). . . If we move up and spend capital, how far can we move up? . . . will we get the 3rd or 4th ranked QB with Added pressure

The way things are going The Selection will be pressed into action . . . A rookie QB that is expected to be the saviour of a desperate and proud Cowboy fanbase could be disastrous for His Mental

Grier is talented and was a blue chip prospect that performed in college . . . He is a two way threat . . . Also He is sitting and learning which I believe should be mandatory of all QBs . . . I believe throwing them to the wolves causes them to develop bad tendencies and habits that carry on with them through their entire careers (Main reason I wanted Romo to start again . . . It would have benefited Dak)

I am not sure how the Dak Drama will play itself out but I would like to resign Cooper to a friendly deal as a stop gap but I believe Grier may be the guy by the end of the year or going into 2024

One thought I had today was would you trade a 2 to the 49ers for Lance? 2nd or lower. We always gamble with the 2nd round anyway.

Or when the 49ers cut Jimmy G I would try and sign him if we can swing it cap wise. Jimmy probably would be out of our price range but I can dream. He would be more than an adequate backup and give us a real QB to play if we have to bench Dak cuz of interceptions.
I don't think the Cowboys have the luxury of signing a Vet

The Jones will keep Dak experiment for more years get used it
Honest question . . . Why do people feel the need to make this comment?

Is it out of frustration? Is it a dig at Jerry? Are you trying to be a "Realist"?

All I know is the feeling I get when I read it.

Annoying as all hell sounds like a Cry Baby Dallas Cowboys Fan

But Ehhhhh. . . You are cooler then that . . . ehhhhhh

I agree. It would be a luxury and we have other needs. It would be nice if they could. Our best hope is we hit on a late round pick, like Purdy, that can play. Outside of that blind luck I think we're stuck with Rush and Dak.

He's worth a shot. I can't watch Dak any longer. I'd rather watch a younger QB go 5-12 than Dak go 12-5, seriously.
At this point yes. We've seen what happens with Dak going against playoff teams. We know Dak is inconsistent. I'd rather suck it up and draft a guy and have some crappy years and get out of bad contracts and the regroup. I'd rather get some of these young cast off QBs like Wilson or Mayfield that's on a rookie deal and roll the dice. Sit Dak and make him a backup.

Before everyone jumps down my throat. Dak had 17 interceptions in 14 games. That's bad QB play. Dak has not had 2 consecutive games without turning the ball over in 40+ games. Again bad QB play. How much worse can it get? At least we would have better draft picks to rebuild.

I would not even pretend to predict how the Dak Saga will play itself out . . . Keyshawn Johnson said it best . . . "Everyone gave Dak the side eye"

I do not remember a defensive player calling out a QB directly after a game (But I said this would happen when Micah was drafted . . . change of culture)

Even The Dak Prescott pleading "That He won't do it again" had the undertones of a Gangster that knows He is about to "sleep with the fishes"

Dak has been voted off the Island but sadly He is stuck to the bottom of The Cowboys shoes . . . This will mot end well . . . Right now the only thing that could make it worse is if Jerry gets involved and reprimands Parsons for running His mouth off at the Media

I am not sure this will happen because Jerry himself called out Dak in His Heart broken Emotional state . . . He said that He thought that "QB was the Advantage"

Having said that I am . . . I am dumb founded trying to figure out who will be the QB come the 1st game of the season . . . anything could happen

1. Dak is given 1 more chance to prove all his post game promises of improving and not making "Any More Mistakes" . . . based solely upon His Pay Grade

In this scenario Hopefully Cowboys resign Cooper for like 4 million or less a year (Or luck out for someone better at same price)

In this scenario The Cowboys would have a fall back option as Grier continues to sit and learn

2. Open competition in preseason and Cowboys bring in a cheap vet (Fingers Crossed)

In this scenario Grier would have to sink or swim and hopefully be good enough to beat out the Vet . . . If so He would be game ready if need be at a cheaper price . . . even allowing the Cowboys to cut the Vet if need be

I believe it will be an open competition and I am routing for Grier

With a generational talent like Micah I do not see us going through losing seasons

Look at Cooper . . . when he was at the helm. He was methodical . . . safe and spread the ball around . . . The Cowboys won low scoring games that kept the defense off the field and fresh

Look How San Fran wins . . . Look how Philly wins

They really on the defense to hold the team fork the 1st couple of possessions while they methodically move down the field . . . then after they get up on you by 2 or more scores they then lean on you

This is what we were with Cooper and He is limited but it was fun watching him play . . . He knows the offense like the back of His hand

This team can win with any QB worth his salt

If Grier ever reaches his potential he would be a better than average starter.
He had a great college career and i thought it would translate to the NFL when he was drafted. He led a big come back victory against my Longhorns.

I want this team to win tired of watching year after year and seeing us losing
Dak won't do it I am sorry he might be and i am sure he is a great person and good player but as an elite QB to lead this team he is not which is fine we all wired differently
JJ should bring someone else to compete and may the best man win

It is a sport and pure entertainment we all should not take it seriously ...
players getting paid
owners getting paid
talking heads getting paid
NFL getting paid
fans are watching just to distract themselves from reality for a while so easy on us my friend we all are in the same boat :)

Dak can get us to the playoffs, but then he chokes. Two years in a row. We've hit his ceiling. Time to move on...which means finding one elsewhere because Rush and Grier won't even get us to the point Dak does.
I’m talking about besides Prescott

Will Grier? Cooper Rush? I share the frustration with Dak but these are just desperate cries for help. The upgrade a lot of us want is not on the Cowboys roster.

Please don't tell me Rush is 5-1 as a starter. He relied heavily on defense and a running game to win. God help him if the opponent scores more than 17 points.
