Because 7 years later, his replacement hasn't done anything noteworthy.
C'mon now. AC has issues, but don't descend with him to petty juvenile rivalry. It's not Romo vs. Dak.

It's not Dak vs. Romo for me, actually. I'm rooting for Dak. I just like to point out that unnecessarily ripping on Tony for not achieving the same things Dak hasn't achieved is silly and self defeating.C'mon now. And Zeke was a terrible center. As we all know Romo never achieved success as a field goal holder.
*lip quivering,*, "but romo went Hollywood and dated babes and I never got to see him with his shirt off."If you wilt under a playful jab...this might be a difficult thread for you. Factual haymakers, left and right, are coming.
LOL!! I find it awesome that you were the first to reply. I remember a post a few days ago about him and that ultra lame pickle-ball "sport."Another Romo supporting thread throwing jabs at anyone who disagrees or brings up his moments of falling short or wilting under pressure.
I get the point of this thread but it's hard to completely take seriously when Derek Carr is leading the pack. I feel like there's more to the story. As in the case with the Cowboys, did they put themselves into that position? How many slow starts has this team historically had. and no, this isn't a Romo thing because they've been slow starters with Dak too.Oh, but it gets better. Isn't it a better to take the top guys and then look at what they did per season or per game? Of course it is. Some guys simply have shorter careers. This absolutely is why data analysts often prefer ratios to simple totals.
This has always been my to-go-to for defending Romo. That's quite the handicap.Cowboys head coaches after Romo's first year as starter:
Wade Phillips
Jason Garrett
Just don't forget about the facts of Romo's playoff record. If you wilt under a playful jab...this might be a difficult thread for you. Factual haymakers, left and right, are coming.
What the hell did Romo do for you guys to still want him lol? Nothing Dak hasn't done if you want someone who never won more than 2 playoff games and made a career compiling regular stats why not just ask for Kirk Cousins?Because 7 years later, his replacement hasn't done anything noteworthy.
The difference though is Dak is 29....Romo was 36 when he retired and he'd done nothing. A huge difference. It's not Dak vs. Romo for me, actually. I'm rooting for Dak. I just like to point out that unnecessarily ripping on Tony for not achieving the same things Dak hasn't achieved is silly and self defeating.
He also had Bill Parcells early in his career...and Sean Payton inhouse. This has always been my to-go-to for defending Romo. That's quite the handicap.
First thing I noticed was Derek Carr then I just voided that whole post. Hell naw lol...I get the point of this thread but it's hard to completely take seriously when Derek Carr is leading the pack. IN 2015, Romo was injured but when he was healthy he posted:This greatest sin of this franchise was the failure to support Romo early with meaningful acquisitions to help a talented but inexperienced and undersized QB from a small school.
He didn't need Mo Claiborne, Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, etc. He needed Tyron, Martin, and Frederick much earlier so he didn't have to take a beating and run for his life.
Once he refined his game, he was truly elite, but by then, he was beaten to a pulp.
He was the second best QB in Cowboys history to Staubach, and if he had Troy's teams, I believe he wins a 4th Super Bowl with that 90s team.
No...Zeke is a TERRIBLE offensive line. And Zeke was a terrible center.
Were those ints tipped? Dropped? was the WR a dope?Romo threw 5 interceptions against the Bills and ended up coming back to win and that deserves praise? To an extent it does but I mean he threw 5 interceptions...how many of these comebacks were the result of Romo not being able to move the offense and being the reason we were down to begin with?
