During those gashes up the middle, where was Rolando McClain? Except for his untimely hands-to-the-face on third down, I didn't hear his name. He was a point of weakness all game.

Is he the best solution at middle linebacker?

2 solos and 2 assists. That's not good. Hitch was playing way better. I love the Freak athleticism, the size, and all the ways he can completely change a game. But we need him 100% all the time. If. It he hurts us more than helps. Hitch is very capable.

No where and frankly I am getting tired of his inconsistency. Hope they part ways this offseason

2 games and you're tired of his inconsistency? I mean MLB of his size and pedigree grow on trees. I for one hope they sign him. He had a bad game as did some other players it's not the end of the world. Ever have a bad day at work? Everyone has them. I will wait to see how he bounces back and how he plays the rest of the season before I am ready to kick him to the curb. He built up his size in the off-season and did his rehab it's going to take more then 2 games for him to get comfortable considering he didn't play in the PS and missed the first 4 games this year.

MLB is a bit different then playing DE also the scheme we ran the last 2 weeks and the DT's upfront have not done our LB's any favors either.

I'd much rather part ways with the lauded Marnelli. If you can't get things done with Hardy, Gregory, Crawford, Lawrence, McClain, Lee, and the way Claiborne is playing on the outside - the issue is with the DC.

I'm not saying our D is the legion of boom, but there's no reason this team should be struggling against the run right now.

This team is already in HUGE trouble. It is going to take a miracle for them to make the playoffs at this point.

They are a loss and a win back from being in 1st place....if they were to make the playoffs in this division....it would be hardly a miracle.

I wouldn't say Hitch was playing way better. He played a few more games and the PS. We need better DT play upfront and we haven't been playing with a SLB much the last 2 games as we've opted to bring in more corners because of how the other teams are attacking us. This is becoming a problem because our DT's are not playing well, and the Golden Cock is not getting Doubled because he isn't feared. Teams OG's are able to stand him straight up and he has zero lateral movement it's not helping the LB's at all

I would give the defense a few more games with all their pieces in place before I call the dream unit (and the coach) unsuccessful. The clock is ticking, however.

They gave up 13 points this week. Should be a win.

Two weeks ago they played the Patriots and played them hard until they ran out of gas thanks to an incompetent QB.

Not sure what else he can do. The defense has been good since they got most of there horses back and was good the for the two weeks of the season without some of those horses.

Turnovers aren't happening, tackling has been poor, we have looked bad against the run even with Lee and McClain back.

I gave him a pass when we were thin on D, but we have our starters back. We talk about the offense turning the ball over or going 3 and out, well that same offense has to drive nearly 80 yards on almost every drive due to lack of turnovers. That's with a backup QB.

A lot of blame goes to the DC.

Cowboys rank defensively as follows:
  • 8th in yards allowed
  • 18th in points allowed
Sorry, those are not fire-able rankings. Those rankings <should> go up with the additions of Hardy / McClain.

I think we've looked bad in the run game because of our DT's and mainly because of the Golden Cock is not requiring double teams to free up Crawford. He is not allowing our playmakers to have an opportunity to be playmakers. Once we get some better talent at that spot it should change this defense. T. McClain going down was a huge blow. The fact that this staff views the GC as a player who commands respect is just mind boggling. They handed this guy a job with no competition he barely has any talent, and he isn't the run stuffer they think he is.

Right along the lines of all your other retorts. Very insightful.

You're not wired correctly, I swear.

Did you not notice that Brady got hit more times than he ever has in his career the first half?

Did you not notice that the Cowboys defense gave up 13 points Sunday?

Sorry, those are not fire-able rankings. Those rankings <should> go up with the additions of Hardy / McClain.

Tom Brady - 275 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Matt Ryan - 285 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Drew Brees (Bad shoulder) - 359 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs

Freeman dominated us with 131 yards rushing, and 3 TDs. Blount had over 70 yards rushing on 13 carries, averaged nearly 6 YPC, while Dion Lewis rushed for over 30 yards on 8 carries and neared 6 YPC himself.

So, let's factor in the bye week here, and us holding off an out of sync Eagles team and the Giants going full stupid near the goal line in the first game, and I'm going to go ahead and say our DC should be on the hot seat if he doesn't get our D doing something with these starters back.

Did you notice the Patriots still put up 30 points on us? That Blount was wrecking our linebackers? That Lewis was breaking arm tackles after arm tackles? While Brady was being Brady and looking nearly flawless?

All of what you mentioned happened in what, the first 5 minutes of the game? If only football games were that long.
