Which Are You And Why

Defense... INTs, sacks, FF, tackle behind the line, pass deflection. All game changers.

Offense, and more specifically the receiver position since that's the position I played my whole life.

It is QB and front 7 on defense. That is the order. You can always trick the defense with an average offense. The offense KNOWS what is going on and defense has to be reactionary to it all.

Just to be clear. I do not believe in the bromide Defense wins championships.

My belief is a balanced team with an aggressive and competent defense and an aggressive and competent offense along with a special teams that wins more than loses is what wins.

Fortune cookie motto's are great, but seldom address all aspects of what transpires.

Offense. I LOVE the running game and now that we have a strong offensive line I'd like to see us get someone like Gurley next year or Smith from South Carolina to just impose our will on people.

Defense is the cliché answer. I spend every game waiting to get the ball back. I know that means you need a defense but I much prefer to watch a quality offense.

High-scoring offense. The 2007 regular season was great for that reason.

Offense or defense. Forget about this team as it stands. Which side of the ball do you favor.

I love defense, but offense is so entertaining. Maybe why I like building the offensive line and seeing it blow holes for the running game and protecting the QB for the passing game.

How about you?

Definately Defense. No matter the sport, a great defense wins championships.

Edit: Baseball dont count cause the Defense rests in the pitchers arm, not the team. 2nd baseman cant do anything about a homerun ball.

When done well, both our entertaining for me. I really can't say I prefer one over the other - I simply love football - even Special Teams.

Generally offense, but I will admit that I loved watching many of Jim Johnson's defenses when he wasn't taking it to us.

I love "game changers"

A game changing play on offense
A game changing play on defense
A game changing play on special teams

Game changers ... Could be the same player most of the time... Could be different players. I don't care.

I will always prefer Offense. Especially a power running game that just grinds the other team down. One of the things I always admired about Emmitt Smith is that in the 4th quarter when the other team was too tired, he just seemed to get better. I like seeing a Guard pull and flatten a Linebacker or a Safety. I like seeing a lead bock spring a back for a nice big gain. I like to see that clock ticking, the Defense exhausted and the Offense rolling. I like seeing the chains move. I like drives that take up 10 or more plays. I like seeing that hard yard moment near the goal line and a Cowboys RB in the endzone after trucking someone. For me, that is football and it gets my heart pounding, blood pumping, and my adrenaline raging. I like to see my team scoring, and while a Defensive score is probably more thrilling than any kind, they are rare. Points win games. Offenses score points. I prefer the Offense.

Now your bringing a tear to my eye. Nothing better in the early 90's on a Sunday aftenoon late in the 3rd quarter when Madden would turn to Summerall and say, "now is when your going to see a large dose of emmit smith and there's pretty much nothing the defense can do at this point".
Gotta love those games.

Don't forget the Nate Newton winning the sweatiest pants contest...and the BOOM....Larry Allen pancake block as Emmitt runs toward the goal line....

defense watching what the seattle defense did to Payton manning and the broncos was awsome

The next 2 items on you wish list should be checked off. We have all the draft picks signed, 8.6 million in cap room which is more than enough to extend the 2 players we need to and still do business, and we added Mincey, McClain, Okoye, Melton, Lawrence, Bishop, Gardner, Coleman, and possibly Whaley for the future, plus Martin on the OL.

First, I like the offense when they're on the field . . .
then, I like the defense when they're on the field.

Then, I like the offense when they're on the field . . .
then, I like the defense when they're on the field.

And so it goes . . . on and on 'til the game's over.
