I don't accept that their stubbornness makes them immune from criticism, so as long as they operate like an expensive fantasy football team and keep falling on their faces I'm going to call them on it. I'm not going to blow smoke up my own you-know-what just to have some false hope.

I used to watch for the quality football, a legitimate chance to compete for a championship. Now I watch just to see the stupid look on Jerry's face when what most of us expected was going to happen, happens, and he's staring at it like it's a shocking, unprecedented development.
There was a time I defended Jerry i just accept the nature of the beast. It's [NFL] a different thing now. I'm trying to make that interesting and fun. When its not I can move on

Look in the rearview mirror and see the last 25 years. The direction hasn't changed.

Are we heading in the right direction in terms of increasing our odds to become Super Bowl champions or is this team headed more towards (or in the middle of) a rebuild?

I honestly think we're smack dab in the middle of a crossroad between the two with the players that has already gotten paid and the young contracts that's coming up coupled with the entire youth movement on defense. McCarthy handcuffed to Kellen Moore who I believe has potential but is a bit green around the gills to be a big time OC has the potential to be a complete belly flop coming off the cusp of the franchise giving up one of the richest contracts in history to a qb. I think Dak has some very very good traits to be an elite qb I just don't know he has the right formula play calling wise to become that. Quinn truly is the gate keeper in all this because he has to improve an all time worst defense on the fly and somehow give them enough bite to keep Moore from getting behind early where his snooze alert play calling in the first half from falling too far behind in games. Then factor in they'll be doing all this while giving up a competitive advantage in the element of surprise by welcoming in a dang gone film crew in Hard Knocks (thanks JerrY) could seriously blow this whole experiment out the water. McCarthy flops this year he's either on the hot seat or maybe even fired with the thirst for new blood and Lincoln Riley steady lurking just north of Texas in Norman Oklahoma. We don't have a legit showing this year we could potentially lose young talent in Gallup, LVE, or possibly one of the key offensive line pieces retiring. So I say we're in the middle of the road here.
