The team is headed in Jerry’s direction which is entirely different than either of the directions that you mentioned.

Heading for a rebuild! Their wasting a lot of careers with over paying Dak. I'm just not convinced Dak can get it done. He struggles and rarely will beat a good team and to win anything he's gonna have to beat 3 to 4 good teams in a row. Everyone likes to say he hasn't ever had a defense but he couldn't put any dam points on the board when his defense fought their guts out.

They convince themselves that they have a championship core - without having won anything - and pay good players like great ones. They did it during the Romo era and they're doing it again with the current roster. Multiple top 5 contracts (Dak, Zeke, Cooper, DLaw) based solely on hope.

I don't accept that their stubbornness makes them immune from criticism, so as long as they operate like an expensive fantasy football team and keep falling on their faces I'm going to call them on it. I'm not going to blow smoke up my own you-know-what just to have some false hope.

I used to watch for the quality football, a legitimate chance to compete for a championship. Now I watch just to see the stupid look on Jerry's face when what most of us expected was going to happen, happens, and he's staring at it like it's a shocking, unprecedented development.
