Just some quick thoughts in regards to some of our new players as compared to some of the holdovers:
Ratliff and Pepper Johnson are more valuble to the team than Leo Carson, IMO.
Beriault has nice upside whereas Reese and Scott have topped out.
MBIII is a Parcells pick and he likes him, I think. He's got the best hands of all the backs and with Jones, Thompson and A-Train, he's got plenty of time to sit, learn and get past the "wall" he hit in camp.
Petitti has a real chance to earn the starting spot and his upside is considerable as compared to Tucker and Vollers. Parcells like the Jersey native. He's a lock to make the roster, IMO.
Like Blindzebra said, I can see all our draft picks plut TyTom and Pepper making the 53 at the expense of some of the older players.
Carson, Ogbogu, Walters, Noll, O'Neil, B. Thornton, Barnes, Polite, Reese, Morgan... these are the guys in danger of losing their roster spot to the new guys. They're bubble guys, where they weren't, because of the influx of so much talent. These are players that had their chances... now they may really be in trouble.
That can't be anything but good for the team. Each vet that gets pushed out because of a more talented new guy only strengthens the team.
If that's the case... we're gonna be a lot stronget team this year than last.
