I hope all of them make it, but not sure how realistic that is, so if you had to cut one, who would it be?

Marion Barber
Chris Canty
Justin Beriault
Rob Petitti
Jay Ratliff

I think all of them make it. Most have out played the Vets they were competing against.

It could be Berry-O because of his knee problem, or Ratliff because we have very good depth on the defensive line. But I think that they are good enough to make the team, and if they do get cut we will try to sign them onto our practise squad.

If Beriault plays Monday night and Ratliff shows again he can play then they all make the squad.

I think some vets are in serious jeopardy. Guys like Ogbogu, Barnes, Morgan who have not really shown up in TC.

It looks like they all could make it, but if one doesn't, I'd say it's Justin. This is just based on injuries, not ability, but if he can't stay on the field, Parcells might lose faith.

I hope he makes it though.

I think they will hang on to them to the last possible cut, just in case of injury at a position. Looks like they would like to keep them all.

i agree with MB3...if tyson thompson is that good, and he is still struggling it wouldn't surprise me. But i like all of the rookies, don't want to see any of them go.

Ratliff is possible because of the depth we have up front, but the fact he can play end and tackle make him more valuable than the knee-injured Carson

We have nothing at safety but Roy, Beriault played better than Davis, Scott or Reese against AZ.

Barbers ability as a receiver keeps him on the roster since none of our other backs have displayed much in that department.

If Rogers was not made of glass and Tucker was not a pylon I'd say he was bound for the PS, but since neither of those things are true he makes it.

How Canty's name got on this thread is beyond me.

I'd say as of right now, all our picks plus UDFA Pepper and Thompson all make the roster.

MB3 certainly has not been tearing it up; with thompson shinning like he is. and youknow BP will keep A Train since he is a proven back. If Thompson keeps showing progress - it could be MB3. Ratlif is a possibility - but since he seems to be able to play some TE - maybe not. Berriaut I think will get PUP or IR. Its a fairly decent chance that we keep all our draft picks.

Mickey said it in his article, if Berry-O plays half way decent monday, I think he makes it. Lack of depth at safety, and the fact that Berry-O is playing through injuries probably have made BP like him.

With us trying to go to the 3-4 full time( i doubt it happens this year), I tink Ratliff stays. But as a 7th rounder, I'm not sure that he has any more leway than Pepper Johnson. Let's wait and see.

Id go with Berryo or Ratliff if I had to cut one. No way can you get rid of Pettiti

I think Parcells learned a lesson from the Eddie George disaster when it comes to experienced backs.

As long as Thompson and Barber don't start fumbling or missing blitz pick ups Thomas is toast, IMO.

Unless something happens in the next 3 weeks........

Marion Barber - makes the team
Chris Canty - shouldn't be on this list
Justin Beriault - pup or IR if not final 53
Rob Petitti - shouldn't be on this list
Jay Ratliff - makes the team (over Carson if necessary)

Although I think they all mane the team already, I think Ratliff or berioult are the only questions. If berioult can play tomorrow i think he makes the team easy.

Your sig is hilarious zebra, but I agree with those who stated Marion Barber. Its hard to base something after one preseason game, but if TT can continue to show his explosiveness and can prove that he can learn and adapt to the system, I could possibly see MB being cut at the end of preseason. Although there may be room because of bickerstaffs conversion to FB, but that position at this point, is still in question.

Just some quick thoughts in regards to some of our new players as compared to some of the holdovers:

Ratliff and Pepper Johnson are more valuble to the team than Leo Carson, IMO.

Beriault has nice upside whereas Reese and Scott have topped out.

MBIII is a Parcells pick and he likes him, I think. He's got the best hands of all the backs and with Jones, Thompson and A-Train, he's got plenty of time to sit, learn and get past the "wall" he hit in camp.

Petitti has a real chance to earn the starting spot and his upside is considerable as compared to Tucker and Vollers. Parcells like the Jersey native. He's a lock to make the roster, IMO.

Like Blindzebra said, I can see all our draft picks plut TyTom and Pepper making the 53 at the expense of some of the older players.

Carson, Ogbogu, Walters, Noll, O'Neil, B. Thornton, Barnes, Polite, Reese, Morgan... these are the guys in danger of losing their roster spot to the new guys. They're bubble guys, where they weren't, because of the influx of so much talent. These are players that had their chances... now they may really be in trouble.

That can't be anything but good for the team. Each vet that gets pushed out because of a more talented new guy only strengthens the team.

If that's the case... we're gonna be a lot stronget team this year than last.
