I think the best time to have filled the hole at OT was in the second round. I know a lot of people were down on him after the combine but I think Winston is going to be good - just needs some time in the weight room. He is a potential LT with a good frame and good feet. He could have been ready to start by next year.
yep true, it will be nice to see a guy actually move left or right on kick returns. but seriously the guy has the potential to actually take it to the house, plus he could be a sick little WR in a couple years.DeathToTheSkinS said:green itll be nice to see a guy who will dodge a pile when returning not to knock on TT tho

I guess I already expect a lot out of Carpenter (as he's our top pick), so I'm taking him more for granted.
As for Hatcher, the guy is big, but he's not fat. He already weighs about 280-285 lbs, runs a 4.8 40 (though not really important for a DL, but impressive none-the-less), and he appears to have natural pass rushing skills. According to the stuff I've read and heard about this guy, he's your natural 3-4 DE. I think in another year or two, he could pay real dividends.

How many 6'7" 286 lbs. defensive ends were All State WR's in high school that caught 28 passes for 1,028 yards that year? How many NFL WR's can claim they had a 36.7 ypc season at any level? Also, using Kirwan's strength and explosion formula, anything above 70 is elite and Hatcher grades out at 73.
