I have both. I don't really play either much as I'm trying to work through the backlog of games I have going back to the PS3/360/Wii/PSP/DS and have been completely sidetracked by Zelda on the Switch since Christmas. I think the only XBox 1 game I have actually played was Tomb Raider, which is no longer an exclusive. I have played some 360 games on the XBO too, but TR is it for current gen. I have a few other games waiting to be played, but only one of those is exclusive to the system. I have played more exclusives on the PS4 (both Uncharted games, 1876, etc.) and have a handful of titles waiting to be played on that system as well.

I think I might be in a Nintendo groove for awhile though with Zelda, Mario Odyssey and Metroid on 3DS.

Does a 4K blu-ray player mean anything to you?

I beat Morrowind. But never finished the main story to Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim or Fallout 4
All those games are long. Sometimes RPGs seem to delve almost too deep to the point where the grind isn't worth the payoff/progress. GTA San Andreas on the old PS2 was a great game but didn't know anyone who finished it, etc.

I wanna play those team shoot em up games like I see in the commercials
Oh you can do that w/both and those types of games won't be exclusives that we're mentioning regarding the PS4. The Call of Duty, Battlefield, Rainbow Six are the big multiplayer shooting games. Not a big multi-player guy so not sure which community is friendlier or easier to find matches, etc.

It really comes down to which exclusive games you want to play. I have had both but prefer the XBOX, especially the latest model. If you have the 4K TV, then definitely go with XBOX but I imagine Playstation isn't far behind on that front.

You can't go wrong with either though.

I chip away at them now over a long period of time. Ill play for two weeks then move on. Come back a couple months later, then again again move on. Ive been doing that with FO4 and Witcher3 and ESO for the past two years. I think both FO4 and Witcher 3 im close to finishing off the main story now.

I wish I could do that. I usually center in on one game when really into it w maybe a sports/shooter mixed in to change it up for short sessions. I did finish the Witcher 3 (not 100%, I never do that) but admittedly felt that I was rushing through focusing mainly on the monster quests outside of the storyline.

I still have a ways to go really. I can run through the main story, but Im taking a break from that to do the DLC quest lines. I always like doing those before the main story

If I run it back at a harder difficulty I will definitely take my time and actually bought the DLC when it was cheaper. Definitely the best RPG this gen IMO (even if rushed :D) maybe competing with Horizon Zero Dawn. I haven't ever gotten into Elder Scrolls unf.

Same here. Morrowind is still the best elder scrolls title IMO. It may be the oldest and ugliest but it's still the most fun to play.

I found oblivion and skyrim way more boring to play and lost interest. Never had that problem with Morrowind.

I did beat FO3 and really enjoyed the game in general as well as new vegas. FO4 is fools gold IMO. Astetically it's superior but gameplay felt flat to me. Total snooze fest and the decisions you make in FO4 largely don't matter.

I also hated the settlement and crafting elements they added to the game. I don't want chores in my video games.

I beat Morrowind. But never finished the main story to Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim or Fallout 4

I used to be a strictly PlayStation guy. Until a bunch of my friends bought me an Xbox one so I could play online with them.

Honestly both systems are pretty much the same.

The most important things to consider are:

1. Exclusive games. Are there games exclusive to either console that you know you will want to play?

2. What friends and family play: online play is a huge part of gaming nowadays. Between shooter games,
Madden, nba 2k, racing etc. playing online is a major aspect of gaming nowadays. Do you have friends/family that play online, what system do they have?

I have a ps4 for the exclusives but I do all of my online play on Xbox because the large majority of my friends and family play on Xbox.

My best bro was big into that (right around the time his wife filed for divorce/ split,,,odd:huh:,,,:lmao:)
He'd have to stay up till like two in the morning for when his bro's in Australia came online for those team death match rounds, he had the blue tooth headset talking to them as they were taking other teams down:lmao:

LOL GTA San Andreas for the ps2 is the only game that GameStop refused to buy (@ pennies on the dollar) when I'd attempted to sell that outfit back to them,,,it's still laying around here somewhere (man them cops get extra fierce on you when you jack a Lear jet or helicopter,,,:lmao:
I think I recall a jet-pack in that game,,,I loved running over the hookers& taking my money back in that game:lmao2:

Call of duty has a huge online pool of players

Even though the OP already answered this question, nice catch for anybody else thinking about buying a console and into the 4K scene. The Xbox One S/X both come with 4k UHD blu-ray players built-in. None of the PS4 consoles do (which I find odd).
So,,,what your telling me is should I go upgrade to ps4 from ps3 it won't play blue ray DVD movies?,,,that ain't no good:confused:
