1- Austin's overtime TD vs Chiefs

2- Romo's escape and TD to end the half vs Falcons

3- Romo's scramble TD to Crayton to put away close Skins game

4- Ware strip/sack of Brees to seal NO game

5 - None of the above

PS I was unable to create a poll

I'd have to say the sack to end the Saints game.

While those plays in the Chiefs and Skins games were great, I left both of those games still questioning how good this team was due to their play in those games. Similarly, the play in the Falcons game was almost disastrous, as if Romo went down we would have gotten no points. With all the ways this team has found ways to shoot themselves in the foot over the years, it just seemed like they dodged a bullet there, but won't be so lucky in the future.

After a season full of inconsistent play, going into New Orleans and smacking the undefeated Saints around really showed me how good this team could be. Especially as the Saints mounted a comeback and Folk missed that kick, it seemed like a script I had seen so many times before with this team, but they rose to the occasion and finished them off.

To me it's Austin's overtime catch vs. the Chiefs, followed by Ware's strip/sack. That New Orleans game probably would have been meaningless for us if not for Austin's emergence against KC, which is why that tops my list. I also think the whole celebration-in-the-end-zone scene represented the dawn of a new era for this bunch.

Game 1 vs Giants. Romo singlehandedly loses game with interceptions. He starts to REALLY change from that point on.

Beating the Saints was HUGE. Remember, the media idiots had us dead and buried before that game. I thought they were ready to petition Jerry to disband the franchise!! We took it to them, and stuffed it down their throats. Ware's strip/sack was the icing on the cake.

One could argue the breakout game by Austin at KC but the premiere moment was the NO game itself. Another beatdown in dominating fashion although to give them some credit they did come back some. Follow that with the Eagle beatdown in dominating fashion and you have some big statements over the course of the season.

The Eagles and pundits can spin it all they want but that win has some long term psychological implications against the Eagles. We definitely have the edge.

Austin's overtime TD vs Chiefs. The page turned.

Good analogy. To steal the "book" theme, I think the Austin TD represented the chapter of this team not only finding its much-needed playmaker, but also melding into an actual team in which the players fought for each other (stark contrast to last season).

I think the Ware play and the Saints game as a whole then represented how a good team became a fearless one.

Going into Nawlins and beating a red hot Saints team on the road. No one other than die hard Cowboy fans gave them a chance. When they won that game I immediately raised my expectations of this team. Super Bowl or bust for me.

I think the NOLA game. Being told that you "have no chance" I think has really rallied this team. It's been a rollercoaster season, I remember being so down after the GB game, but seeing how they played the Saints really showed just how much grit, heart, and unity this team has.

Yep. If not for that Austin play, the book would have been slammed shut. Instead, it was the defining moment of a player who in one game emerged as a budding star. It also signified the rebirth of our offense. Everyone was too ticked about almost losing to the Chiefs to care, but it was the biggest moment of our season in hindsight.

Austin's breakout game has to be #1.

1(a) Ware's strip sack of Brees. Both were catalysts that jump started the belief for this team. And the belief for us fans.

The OT win in the Chiefs game--and not just because I was in the stands there surrounded by screeching Chiefs fans while freezing off key body parts. From what I've read most of the players cite that game as the turnaround. If they believe that changed things, then that's what changed things.

austin td vs the chiefs changed things for him and for what we do offensively

but not the team as a whole

even after austin monster game there was still tons of question marks regarding this team. many was skeptical still of him cause it happened againgst the chiefs

also many was still pissed because no one in a game we dubbed a must win expected overtime vs the lowly chiefs. moral still wasnt high after that win.

thats why i say its ware strip sack vs the saints. no one really gave us a chance to win and a lost wouldve put the giants into position to take over the last wildcard spot. it was this game that followed our lost to the chargers that was suppose to kill our season and send us into another december slump

instead we won. that win made a huge statement and boosted this teams confidence on both sides of the ball. we shut down a top offense and moved the ball well on a respected defense. we proved we could hang with the big boys

The Saints game was the season changer for us.. Any other year we lose that game and go into a slump. This year was different after that game.

I'm going with the TD pass to Crayton versus the Commanders. If we end up losing at home to the Deadskins 6-0, well....

A. this forum would resemble what happens when an atom bomb is dropped.

B. a loss like that, to a team like that, may be something the team would not have recovered from
