The Romo Houdini act against the Falcons was the play of the year for me. I was there and had a good view of it. Twice I was sure he was going to be sacked and Dallas would wind up with no points. Remember time was ticking away in the first half and Dallas had no time outs left. Romo escaped and found Crayton for the TD. It was the greatest play I have ever seen in person on a football field. It was also a microcosm of the season.

I think KC game was the fork in the road for the Cowboys. Lose the game and recovery would have been very hard but this team banded together and pulled out a tough one. No doubt some of the other games were big for this team but without the KC win not sure those games would have had the same meaning

I think it is easy to point to the Austin TD or Ware's sack but I remember texting my friend after Romo's scramble TD telling him that it was a potentially "season changing play". The Falcons were supposed to be a playoff team at the time and the outcome of the game was far from determined with them having driven the field to strike first. Romo was not going to be denied, the urgency and improvisation he showed in that play showed me that he still had his "moxie".

Another point on that game was that Dallas would still be in the playoffs with a loss to KC or NO. IF Dallas would have lost the Atlanta game, they'd be out of the playoffs as the two would have tied at 10-6 with Atlanta holding the head to head tiebreaker. It was the only single game that a flip of results would have changed the Cowboys in the playoffs.

Some good choices here.

Austion KC TD saved the season.

Crayton WAS TD saved it a 2nd time.

I chose Ware's sack from the list because it sealed the win the most impressive regular season win in years.

My pick is actually Crayton's TD this past weekend. I was 99% confident we'd win heading into the game. That TD not only sealed the eagles fate in my mind, it started what I knew would be a rout!

For me it was the OT win against the Chiefs and this is the reason.

It just felt like to me that it was that game, that OT play, that moment where this entire team came together and bought into the whole all for one team concept.

You could just tell by the way they reacted to that win that this was a different team going forward from that point cause it was actually a team.

None of the above.

The defining moment was on Sunday - the shutout and domination of the Eagles.

Austin in KC - It brough the TEAM together

Bingo. I remember Jimmy Johnson's remarks at half time on that day. He indicated that games like that could make the Cowboys "tougher". More than anything, the end of the game showed the players celebrating together. For me, it was a sign that they believed in each other. Even though they had some hiccups along the rest of the way, they were clear in their resolve and we saw a very focused Cowboys team that really began to peak in New Orleans. Austin's TD was the seed of that new-found focus.

I'd have to re-categorize this a bit. I think our "defining moment," up to this point, was Ware's sack/forced fumble and beating the Saints, but the "turning point" was, for me at least, the OT win in Kansas City.

I'd have to say the sack to end the Saints game.

While those plays in the Chiefs and Skins games were great, I left both of those games still questioning how good this team was due to their play in those games. Similarly, the play in the Falcons game was almost disastrous, as if Romo went down we would have gotten no points. With all the ways this team has found ways to shoot themselves in the foot over the years, it just seemed like they dodged a bullet there, but won't be so lucky in the future.

After a season full of inconsistent play, going into New Orleans and smacking the undefeated Saints around really showed me how good this team could be. Especially as the Saints mounted a comeback and Folk missed that kick, it seemed like a script I had seen so many times before with this team, but they rose to the occasion and finished them off.

The game Romo showed real leadership and turned this team around was the KC game. Romo was awesome while the entire team was imploding around him. That was his defining moment IMO.

Excellent way to put it. Both moments have helped shape this team's identity, and as Martha Stewart would put it, that's a "good thing". ;)

I think the emergence of Austin and the OT TD was great. And may have turned it some.

But I said none of the above. As I think it was more a combination of just the entire team and coaching staff getting better and playing as a team.

It started more with the defense playing like we all wanted them to play from the start. I knew it would take 6 to 8 games for this new group to gel.

After that happened, the offense then started getting better field position, playing ahead. Opens up the play book.

So to me it is just the team doing what it was supposed to do. Gel....peak at the right time.
