I will take our current one by a little.

Comparing best known years:
TSmith >> Tuinei
Collins < Allen
TFred > Stepnoski/Others (Step only there for a few years)
Martin > Newton by a little
Free << Williams (only for 3 years)

Erik Williams and Larry Allen are two of the best and most dominating OL in the history of the league. Had it not been for the car accident, Williams would also be a HOFer.

And it didn't happen - whereas I believe this OL has the making of 4 potential HOF'rs - TSmith, Collins, Fredbeard and Zach Martin. Let's hope Chaz Green is what DAL scouts thought he was in college and this is the best 5 of all time

Allen is probably the best OL of the ten.
Williams could have been top 2, but the unfortunately accident.
Outside Allen, I think the current OL clearly beats of 90's OL?

To me, Tuinei was above average only while TSmith is top 3 LT.
Step was top 5 C but only there for a few years, while TFred is top 2 C.
Newton was top 5 in my view, but Martin is top 2 to me.

If you take the team success out of the equation, I think it might be a pretty clear answer : I'd take the current group nearly any day.

But those Super Bowl wins (with that line being a big part of the success) makes it a way tougher choice.

Allen and Williams(pre-accident) win it by themselves.

Allen literally had players faking injury to miss lining up against him. Williams intent was to break the will of his individual opponent. Give me those 2, and I'll figure out the rest.

I used to enjoy Williams kicking Reggie White's butt.
However, the #$%@^ accident

90's OL my a mile. They make other teams crap their pants once they step on the field. Larry Allen was God fearing monster and football's darling Hercules. That man anchors the OL and move it effortlessly. Emmitt Smith was a gift graced upon us with his grittiness and toughness rubbed into our team. Other teams knew exactly what we were going to execute and still couldn't stop us. Our current OL is pretty good but the mind make up isn't there yet. Hopefully they will be all time greats like 90s team were.

You have to include Emmitt as part of the offensive line in the 90s, just like you will soon be able to include Elliott with this one.

However, the 90s line consisted of two undrafted free agents, two 3rd-rounders, and a second rounder.

This line is basically four 1st-rounders and a 3rd-rounder. (Collins would have been a 1st-round pick.) The pedigree is greater with this group.

Yeah, that one play where White basically threw him out of the way to the ground with one arm must have motivated him in the future. I remember how frustrated white was on the sidelines *****ing and moaning when he started dominating him

I think the line we have right now has more potential, whereas the 90's line achieved theirs.
How many people in sports predicted DeMarco Murray to break the single season cowboys rushing record a couple of years ago? What has he done since? This line we have right now could become the best of all time. Maybe Zeke can help them with that.

Who played on the line before Larry Allen. He didn't join the Cowboys until 1994 and only won a single Super Bowl.

That isn't to de-value the line, but I feel like we have a better line now than the 1992-1993 teams, and after 95 it began to break. The dominant line you named was really only that way for a year or two, while the current incarnation has a better chance to play together for a longer time.

There was nothing like sacking the "minister of defense" on TV with John Madden...

Gesek? Gogan?

I loved the 90's team, but I have to say the current OL is a little better.
And it can be with us for a long time if FO does its job.
