Good call on Grossman... Although it would be safe to say that wasnt so far fetched...:laugh1:

Onto the original topic...I wouldnt trade Romo for any other QB in the league that wasnt named Brady and I would seriously think twice about doing that. Romo is only going to get better and better, I hope Jerry locks him up very soon...

Brady and Manning

But Romo is what 3-4 years younger but yet not a proven comoddity to Super Bowl wins. I don't know I'd trade Romo for any other QB in the NFL.

This is a meteoric star rising. He always did it preseason over the years and now he's doing it to the opponents starters!!!!!!!

The Tony Romo bandwagon is a now a full blown convoy of wagons that numbers back hundreds of miles and is growing daily!

We are now officially in the Romo era.

this came up on another board when we were talking about *what if* we got offered the 1st overall pick thinking we could take quinn with it (ha ha on us from reality) and no one on my board would trade romo for the opportunity to pick quinn. at the time it was projected quinn would do much better and we'd never "windfall" into a potentially high 1st rounder.

but *who* would i really trade romo for "straight up" (since as you know so many teams are chomping at the bit to do that!) as a fantasty "what if" question (as intended i suppose)...

brady
palmer
likely peyton

and that would be about it.

romo has all the potential to be one of the superstars in the league. i'd put him in with leinert, young, cutler and so forth with the young guns that could have "it".

If Leinart is so good and you wold trade Romo for him.

Why was he benched for Warner on Sunday?

Something I never do. Agree w/ Nors but Nors is right.

I would only trade Romo for Manning or Brady. That's about it. I feel Romo is as good and a bit better than Palmer. He is certainly more able to make a play from a dead play than Carson is.

Brees is more limited physically than Romo, plus he has started poorly this year. Manning, Brady, and Palmer. Those are the only ones I would trade Romo for.

That inch makes a big difference..

And Romo has about the same arm strength of Brees. Brees isn't as elusive, but physically they are almost the same.

A straight up trade taking into account age, talent, injury history... who would you really swap Romo for? I can only think of 4 sure fire guys I would want more than Tony- Palmer, Manning, Brady and Brees. That's it... am i being too much of a homer on this one?

Brady, 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounders and that spy camera. And Belichick's niece.:D

Brees is having a half-ashed year. And don't look now but his senior citizen discount will be good at IHOP next year.

No way I take Brees over Romo!

The only one I take over Romo is Brady - who may end up being the best football player of all time before his career is over.

With the way Tony is playing right now? No one.

I would have said Brady, but he's "Shady Brady" now IMO.

I can't believe so many people mentioned Brees over Tony.

I'm on the Sultan train here. Romo is rising the charts of NFL qb's. BIG

Somewhere Bledsoe has to be mildly ammused that he was done in by two potential hall of famers in Brady and Romo.

Romo gets a SB next few years and has a serviceable career he is in Canton. He has the Namath star appeal and will take this nation by storm with a SB win.....
