Which SEC QB will Jerry Draft In the 3rd? MCcarron, Mettenberger or Murray

No you just can't understand basic logic. We have orton correct? A free agent QB won't cost any more than orton. Top qbs are available ever.

Sorry but I just don't understand the logic of drafting mid round QBs when you have a top 12 qb already. I want Romo to win now do I want players that can help now. Another qb will not help us now.
If romo goes down I don't trust any of these 3 QBs Drafted to help us any this year.

So just say we draft you favorite of the 3 in the 3rd round. Romo gets hurt and is now done for his career. Your qb is not going to help us and we have a top 8 pick. Now do we not draft a qb top 8 who is better than the one we just spent a 3rd on a year ago. I would rather wait and draft the better qb and draft a player jn the 3rd that can help us more this year.

no it doesn't. now means the best player that can help the team the most now. Need means you need a DE so you take the DE a round early because you need one.

Drafting Murray(my choice of the 3) also means we can cut Orton loose and that save 3m. If Murray is as good as expected he could still be an asset in a couple years.

If you think like that as you progress through the deeper portions of the draft, chances are you are a losing team with a lot of holes or a mediocre team that simply thinks in the now deluding themselves that they are something they are not.

Well looking at hos contract he is. If released after next year it's alot of dead money. Then if the restructure again next offseason after 2015 would be alot of dead money. Contract wise he won't be able to be released until after 2016. So yes its 2 to 3 more years.

I don't understand why people think they can just draft a qb in the 3rd or 4th and you have another great qb and is better than Romo. Look around the league. Not just any QB can produce at a high level.

If the Cowboys were able to draft a McCarron, Mettenberg, or Murray, I wouldn't look to have that guy replace Romo in year one. Not at all. Let the competition begin the following year.

I agree with you on drafting a QB in the third and hoping he is better than Romo. IMO it would be a wasted pick. There has been a few QBs in the last couple of years that was drafted in the mid rounds that has worked out, but history shows it is a long shot. Since the team is stuck with Romo, it would be drafting a backup QB. When Dallas comes to the point that they have to draft a QB, I would rather see them spend a first round pick and go for the best available. I don't have much faith in trying to develop a starting QB with lesser talent.
