Two movies come to mind when trying to determine a Super Hero ...

Unbreakable, starring Samuel Jackson and Bruce Willis.

A Security Guard (Bruce Willis) is the sole survivor of a disasterous train wreck. Not only is he still alive after the crash--he's completely unharmed. After this miraculous incident, he's contacted by the mysterious Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), a dealer of comic book art who seems to have the opposite physicality--his bones tend to snap like twigs. As Elijah attempts to help the reluctant hero realize his superhuman potential,

The concept of the movie is that the frail man who helps the Superhero discover His abilities, turns out to be an arch villain. The concept is: For every Super Hero to exist, there must be an Arch Enemy.

And of course the other movie that comes to mind is:

Invincible, starring Mark Wahlberg

Dude, you have a divisional playoff game this week, ... the Dallas Cowboys season is done.

What are you doing here ?

There is no reason for you to be here, other than your sick, secret obsession with the Dallas Cowboys.

I have often felt, truth be known, secretly, everybody wants to be a Cowboy.
This proves it.

Just because my team is in a divisional Playoff doesn't necessarily mean that I can't dialogue on the Zone. Some of you still don't get it ...I'm an Eagles fan who just happens to be a football fan also.

This is an Interesting fun thread ...what's your problem?

Oh well ...if you insist, I'll put on my Eagles helmet just for you. Here's how I see things measuring up ...

Offensively speaking:

The Saints have tremendous firepower with wide receivers Joe Horn (questionable with a groin injury) and Marques Colston and running backs Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush. New Orleans can beat you by spreading the field and throwing the football or running it in the power game.

Defensively speaking:

The Saints rely on speed to cover because of a general lack of size. The line is outstanding, headed by end Will Smith and tackle Hollis Thomas. The Eagles must start quickly and maintain ball control against a defense that allows nearly 5 yards per rushing attempt.

Commentary:

The Saints are over-confident.

Eagles Offensive:

They believe that they are playing the same team that they once defeated before, under the helm of Donovan McNabb. Not so! Garcia brings much more elusiveness and the ability to find his receivers, run the ball himself or rely on our superhero Brian Westbrook! The Eagles Offensive Line is huge and should be able to effectively run the ball successfully. Not to mention the powerful LJ Smith as Tight-End.

Eagles Defensive:

Brian Dawkins (Weapon X), and Jeremiah Trotter, will captain the cast of warriors to stop the Saints emotional ride and expose their weaknesses. While Sheppard is out, this time, Hood is 100% and ready to limit the less than 100% Joe Horn of the Saints.

Eagles win!

GO EAGLES!

I know this movie has been out for some time, but still, there's no bigger sin than giving away the secret ending to a movie. For comic book geeks, this was a great film, but you should try not to destroy the best part! Hey, did you hear that when that kid sees dead people, Bruce Willis is actually not what we think he is!? Or did you hear that Norman Bates is ACTUALLY dressed as his dead mother? Bambi's mom gets killed. Am I missing anything? lol ;-)

Well, since I'm new here I didn't realize that the person giving away the surprise endings to movies was an Eagles fan. Go figure. It's not surprising since the Eagles don't know how to finish anything and
most of their fans just love to annoy people. I used to go to Eagles-Dallas games every year, but stopped when people attacked and threatened to shoot my pre-teen nephew just for wearing a Deion jersey. Pathetic. I've been all over and Eagles fans are by far the worst and least fun to be around. Even Giants fans have some sense of the rivalry is supposed to be fun and not dangerous. I've been to Bengals-Steelers games, Dallas-Skins, Steelers-Browns, Giants-Cowboys, Jets-Giants, and on and on..and never seen as much bufoonary as I used to see at Eagles games. I have no problem with an Eagles fan posting here, but it would seem to me that anyone rooting for another team would be bored here, especially when that team has such a big game this weekend. At the very least, I would hope fans of other teams would come here and be respectful? Phoenix, don't take any of this personal, I don't know you, I was just riffing on Eagles fan since I was shocked to see anyone but Dallas fans here.

Then you must have missed his post about how embarassed he was for Andy Reid, and the Eagles fans and organization when TO ran to the middle of the field and stood on the star, not once but twice.

The Eagles coaches were not happy with TO after that little antic of poor sportsmanship.

All surprising since he was playing for the 9'ers then.

Something snapped, that did it for me. He is a fraud and a pretender, IMO.

I've got no use for him, and he knows it. He seems like a nice enough guy, but that incident and 4,000 posts on a rivals message board is too much for me.

Kind of creepy that he wants to be here so much.

Well I didnt take it that way, I took it as he was making fun of Superhero geeks ( I find it funny long story )] And don't forget whats his name Dawkins calls himself weapon X thats clearly a comic reference to Wolverine, There are allot of Football players who are comic geeks I have dealt with a few.
If I took it the wrong way I'm sorry , I thought he was making fun of comic geeks, If he would reply and explain himself that would be cool
C

I was making fun of comic geeks ...all in the name of fun. It's also called having a sense of humor!

You don't have to answer to anyone because you have a good sense of humor.

Yep, I was missing the fact that I was dealing with an Eagles fan. I've never spent time on an Eagles message board, who would have guessed your obsession with Dallas was so deep? Maybe if your guys finally win a Super Bowl, you'll go back where you came from.

No obsession here step ...don't expect you to take my word for it, but I'm sure about it. Listen, before you start digging-in on what you describe as an Eagles fan, consider this ...you dove-in on me immediately, without giving me the benefit of doubt.

I'm fair, I recognize where I'm at here on the Zone. I'll treat you like you treat me ...that said, you get what you give.
I can talk Xs & Os, stats, and perspectives ...but I'm not going to accept flames from posters that hate Carde Blanche!

Actually, all I did was comment on your giving away the surprise ending to a good movie. You then posted a sarcastic response. It was then I noticed you were an Eagle fan, which prompted the question, what kind of person hangs out on a Dallas fan board when their team is the "enemy"? The answer is typically someone trying to stir things up. Again, if Dallas was playing this weekend, I doubt most people here would be on Eagles boards debating fans there. It's a little bizarre, but hey, whatever floats yer boat my friend. You actually don't seem all that bad and seem a lot more literate than most Philly fans I've met. I treat Eagles fans like ******** children: it's not your fault, you just don't know any better. ;-)

And I make you this promise too: if you ever come to a Dallas game, I will not threaten you or your family or swear in front of your kids. Trust me, I'm no prude, but it's a simple fact that fans at Eagles games take pleasure at making others miserable. Case in point, every game I've been to sells tee shirts and signs all over the place saying "F Dallas" -- except the F is the actual word. You have losers selling these, wearing these, and shouting it at cars driving to the game. Real cool when you want to bring your kids to a game.

You answered your Own question without allowing me an opportunity to respond. What's that about?

I don't do insults real well and I don't hate Cowboy fans. Although I did detect a winking smiley face ...so I won't take you serious here.

You can't be serious about this?!

...Look, the bottom line is that the Zone in not the only site that I frequent! I'm here because I learn about the Cowboys, the Giants, the Commanders, and ...the 2006 NFC-East Title holders ...Eagles!;) I can talk smack along with the best in the NFC-East, but I'm a football fan also. I don't have all these inhabitions that most fans here seem to think I have, and I don't have the same hang-ups about the Cowboys that many seem to have about the Eagles. Initially, I thought you were going to be one of the fans here on the Zone that I could hold a civilized dialogue with. Perhaps I was hasty.

Now you just run along and start calling me all of those immature names that I'm sure you'll have plenty of company doing. Or should I give you the benefit of doubt Because you're new? I'll be watching you real closely ...step.
