The 'rap' on Lloyd is that he's more interested in being a rapper than a football player.

In other words, you don't know that Lloyd will ever be satisfied by anything either.

TO moaned about money - which in his warped world translates to respect. He never really said anything about his numbers or lack thereof.

My point is given the information we have, you can't definitively state that Lloyd will be happy in Washington, or TO won't be in Dallas.

Not sure how Randal is going to feel being permanently stuck in the #3 spot either. He made it quite clear when FA opened he considered himself much more than that, and his contract certainly backs that up. Are there enough footballs to go around in a Portis-first offense?

Agh, im sorry I did get a little side tracked. You are right, TO did only argue for the money just about, but he did have a guy like McNabb. Will Bledsoe do what McNabb did? And you guys are "stacked" at WR so how will he please everyone? Btw, TO iirc didnt complain much about money in SF, he wanted the damn ball.

My major point was, we have 1 ego with Lloyd who will be much easier to please than Meshawn and TO.

As for ARE, he said on a local interview that he is fine with his role and may actually be a #2. Also he is pleased with PR/KR.

I would argue that Bledsoe is a better QB for TO than McNabb, IF the oline can keep him upright. He's a flat out better and more accurate passer when given time.

Keyshawn and GLenn love Parcells. They will run through walls for him. I hate using that arguement, but the fact is they have a history with Bill that Lloyd and Randal don't have with Gibbs.

Glenn has never in his career, even when he was a mostly forgotten #3 in GB, complained about getting attention. Keyshawn can and has been kept in line by Bill.

TO, of course, is the million dollar question. But if he gets the money and respect he wants, he has never dogged it on the field.

BUt again, Key has a history with Bill. He's not a problem as long as Parcells is the coach.

DOes Lloyd know he's might be a #3? This might be interesting......

Stats per game last season --

Crayton -- 2.00 catches, 31.0 yards, 0.18 touchdowns

Randle El -- 2.19 catches, 34.88 yards, 0.06 touchdowns

Patten -- 2.44 catches, 24.11 yards, 0.00 touchdowns

More tidbits --

-- Randle El started 15 games, Patten started seven, and Crayton started zero.

-- Crayton was on the field for only 33.5 plays per game played, compared to 44.5 for Randle El and 49.4 for Patten, but Crayton's per-game production was as good or better than either of the other two.

-- Crayton caught 62.9 percent of the passes thrown to him, compared to 50.7 percent for Randle El and 41.5 percent for Patten.

nice job adamjt.

crayton has plenty of upside to him. last year, some of the catches he made in traffic were nothing short of jaw-dropping. i'd like to see him stay healthy and earn more PT.

Commanders fans just diss Crayton becasue of the way he owned Sean Taylor 2 years ago in their house and won the game for us.

true but Sean Taylor came back with vicious hit late in the Monday Night game.

Crayton just needs to get his mojo back. He can be our Randle-EL in my opinion. He was also a very good collegiate QB, plus his hands are way better.

Crayton>Randle-El???

Not yet anyway. Hopefully this year he can become a better weapon. I like his progress so far.

Hmmm

Your wr core all over 30. Our top 3 under 30. Wait, you don't have TO yet, so I'm going with the skins. If you get To and keep Meshaun, I would give you all small edge. Guess we will have to wait and see.

I would take T.O. by himself over either trio of WR's.

all Lloyd does is have a crazy catch a game, and Randle El is overrated right now IMO. he got paid way too much. Moss is a godly WR though. TO is better than every single one of them though

anyhow, some people are talking about realeasing Key if we get TO. well, the way I see it, Larry Allen is gone, which frees up I think like 3 mil of cap for this year (read that at cowboys official website I beleive). Why would we want to get rid of Key? What happens if TO gets injured? Or Glenn gets injured (which happened pretty much every year before last year)? If we sign TO and release Key we screw ourselves if we have any injuries in the WR corps (which has happened the past couple of years). We gotta keep Key, Glenn, and Crayton, no matter what

Owens is better then all the other 5 put together. He wins it, nobody else. Before it's all said and done, Glenn and Keyshawn are dressing up like Commander defenders just trying to get some of Bledsoes balls thrown their way.

Which will be the one ugly sight from signing TO...how whiney I can already see Glenn and Key becoming. It won't matter that Parcells is their coach and that they supposedly "worship" the ground he walks on, Bill's problems will first stem from these two as they re-emerge as NFL disgruntles, not TO. AND IT WILL START when these words are said by our beloved Playmaker...

"NOW Dallas finally has a number one WR to work with!"

Everytime TO does what he does...yknow, make magnificent plays at any given moment of any given game...it will rub salt into the wounds of our other two. Everytime Irvin, praises the WR magnificent ground that TO walks on...it will rub salt into the wounds of those two. Especially when he celebrates and they can literally see the spotlights from the world engulfing TO in it's radiance upon the star. Not to mention how big both of them talked last year when Irvin accussed them of being less then what Dallas needs, and when they start seeing what he was saying first hand on every other play is true, whoa, stay clear of that sideline and locker room, that's all I can say.

BUT the final straw breaks, when...Key and Terry start realizing and letting it sink in that even Parcells had to of partially agreed with Irvin in his assesment, thus bringing in their replacement not more then one year later. That's going to hit them hard. Hell, really, the mental stability of both those men could hinge on whether or not we sign their clear-cut replacement in the next few days or so.

If TO is going to be "mischevious" this year, that will be how. He'll divert the negativety towards them two and off of himself. And the sad thing is they're both so wrapped around Bill's jockstrap that they'll never see it coming and fall right into the trap because they both think they're above everyone else on this team. All I can say is thank god we have the "diplomat" QB Bledsoe to beable to deal with this in his own unique way when it first starts. The pressure those "lesser 2" are going to put on him to spread the ball around more to them is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy though.

A few Brandon Lloyd blurbs...

Washington Post

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Brandon Lloyd, a restricted free agent who was acquired for a couple of draft picks, also will receive a new contract from the Commanders, with several league sources suggesting it will reach up to $10 million in guaranteed money and could average close to $5.5 million per season.

From Peter King

...the Commanders going after Lance Alworth (sorry, I guess I got confused because they're chasing every other sub-six-foot receiver in NFL history)

...1. I think the Commanders are officially out of their minds. Washington dealt a third-round pick this year and a fourth next year to San Francisco for wideout Brandon Lloyd. This is Lloyd's NFL résumé: three seasons, 105 catches, 14.4 yards per catch, 13 touchdowns. He is a nice deep threat with good hands. But didn't the Commanders already have one of those guys in Santana Moss? In fact, by signing Antwaan Randle El on Sunday (what?!!!!!), the Commanders now have four of the same receiver at spots one through four on the wideout depth chart. Check this out:

Brandon Lloyd - 6'0' - 192 lbs - 24 yrs old
Santana Moss - 5'10" -185 lbs - 26 yrs old
David Patten - 5'10" - 190 lbs - 31 yrs old
Antwaan Randle El - 5'10" - 192 lbs - 26 yrs old

I'm not saying you have to have receivers of different sizes and shapes, but with the exception of speed, the Commanders, over the last 12 months, have dealt for two receivers (Moss, Lloyd) and signed two others who all fit the same profile. Wouldn't someone on the staff there say, Hey, maybe it's a good idea to get a taller, more physical receiver to play against some of the moose we have at safety in this division, like Dallas' Roy Williams?

...And I love the 49ers getting third- and fourth-round picks from Washington for Brandon Lloyd. Trade of the year, and it's only March.
