The central problem is not..

Zeke

DAK

Linehan

Garrett

or anybody else.

Its the OL.

Think about it..

they are not playing like last year.

They have 2 new starters and thats an issue.

If our OL does not control the LOS..

We don't win.

If our OL doesn't open up holes for Zeke..

We don't win.

If our defense has to stay on the field..

We don't win.

There are plenty of others to consider...

but I want to hear what you guys think.

You got my opinion.

Our entire offense needs to be more creative and needs to take some shots downfield. Every team we play knows exactly what we want to do. They set their defense accordingly. Yes, we need to use the running game which is our strength, but teams have a year's worth of film on us now. We have to make it more difficult for defenses to game plan against us. We're not good enough yet to just line up like in the early 90's and dare teams to stop us.

Paging @Aven8

Personally I would add Dak to a degree. O line is the most important but he's had the luxury of being behind the best o line in football last year, he needs to do better under pressure, he missed some open throws.

Ackchyually, only one starter on the O-line since Collins was a starter to start the year last year.

IIRC, The Oline has started slow the past few seasons. Last year they were meh versus the Giants and Commanders and I want to say in 2015 they started off meh too.

However, last year coincided with Collins getting injured at LG and Leary coming in to replace him.

There were struggles yesterday.... But again 5vs7 or 8vs6 blocking

I'm more inclined to believe that crossing routes behind their LB would've done more than anything. Our TE's struggled yesterday in blocking, then individual OL had problems that each compounded the other. You beat 8 box by passing and our route tree sucked yesterday

I'm sorry.... This had to be on Linehan scheme wise

It was a failure on all involved.....they forced us to pass and we failed miserably

If they don't open holes and control TOP..

We lose.

Not Linehans plays.

They are the same plays we have won decisively with in the past.

I would have liked some trickery plays when things are not working..

Run or pass from punt formation..

End around pass..

Flea flicker..

more blitzes..

QB draw...

There is alot they didn't even try to change momentum.

Do not know why.

Garrett must have nixed it

Thanx for the history lession.

Two NEW starters on the OL in New positions for the most part.

Yes..

both played before with poor results..

poor by our standards..

and yes..

Zeke started slot..too.

They need to get more jacked up, too.

Don't forget the annexation of Puerto Rico and the fumble-Rooski while you're at it.

It certainly starts there. OL needs chemistry. Needs chemistry developed fast.

Agreed.

I was stunned to visit the forum the AM and not see at least a couple threads lambasting the OL.

I have to agree. For this week at least, the o-line was not up to par.

And the new starters really weren't to blame. Travis Frederick and Zack Martin had a lot of trouble with Domata Peko inside and that practically ruined the whole offense. It's not often this line has a bad day at the office. Hopefully this is the last one in a very long time.

All the hand-wringing, over Dak especially, is so misguided.

Zero run game, on the road, against the very best pass D in the league. A killer INT off of his star WR's hands. A defense that couldn't stop anything Denver was doing.

Dak is good but he's not Superman.

Put any QB in his shoes yesterday and they'd be just as inept, or close to it.

My biggest concern is with the OL right now. We are NOT contenders unless they are, as advertised, the "best OL in football."

Now that we have our bye week out of the way, it's time regroup, buckle down, and man up and get to work and right this ship.

The Dak stuff is borderline hilarious. He had no help yesterday. And to be fair, the game was already decided well before both his picks.

Yesterday was Prescott's 18th regular season start. This is another game he will learn from....and never let happen again.

I was stunned to visit the forum this AM and see as many people posting about the game as I did quite frankly.

About any of it.

I mean. What can you really say?

All you can do is just hope its an aberration and move on to the Cardinals.

I'm starting to think drafting a tackle high next year might be a necessity. Move Collins back inside where he belongs and get someone who belongs at right tackle at right tackle.

Hey..

Let's go back to an old mantra before all our success..

"it's a process" per Jason Garrett.

Back to the future, bro.
