I am completely in shock. I adored her when I was in high school. Her voice was so spectacular. Godspeed, Ms. Houston.

Drugs are bad. Kept hoping that she would get over her addiction problem

Can't say how sad I am by this but I hate to say this but I am not surprised. This one was in the making for a long time. You can't do drugs like she did and expect it not to take a toll.

Shaken by this news here. Legendary vocalist and a big loss in R&B. Only 48. That is young.

When Michael Jackson died I really didn't blink an eye (as with most celebrities), but now with Whitney Houston, I do feel a lot of sadness. I loved her voice. I remember when she sang the National Anthem in the Super Bowl while we were in Desert Shield. I was in awe of her talent. I know she lip synced it, but it was still her voice. It was still spine-tingling. I kept holding out hope she would turn her life around.
